Unpair iPhone from car. Repair choosing iPhone with Carplay or something like that. I couldn't do mine immediately, had to wait an hour until connected services were fully active.

couldn't get mine to work at first the reason was my phone still had my previous car stored so make sure you delete any car on phone before you start then its very simple set up

Took it out for a quick spin along a wee B road in the wet in Sport mode (DSC ON). Lots of power - just a wee bit of throttle caused a bit of wheel spin on a wet road.

phone to carplay but what is the password?

also for anybody who doesn’t have it, just seen on the connected drive store carplay unlimited is now much cheaper i assume
for black friday so take a look

I don't recall a password being required. Where - on your iPhone or iDrive? If it's on the phone it's likely your passcode for phone or AppleID password, if it is on iDrive, maybe it's the connected drive login?

Can I just say that anyone wanting a louder exhaust is nuts. Maybe some pops and an bit of treble, but it's pretty freaking loud, especially at startup, and in Sport Plus with the Exhaust noise button ON.

That said, spent some time with Aston Vanquish V12 a few months back, and that was like an explosion when you pressed the start button. The world stops for about 10 secs and everyone turns to stare, every single time you press start. It's not that. Thankfully.

I had the window down to have a listen and the wife took it out for a spin so I heard it at idle when she came back. The bimmercode thread suggests ASD is very subtle on this. I've not bought the app to turn it off yet.

I must be nuts startup is loud for sure but after hearing the US version of this car I prefer that sound much more than the muted sound from our cars.

So I just pulled fuse 218. Exhaust flap and button continues to function. There's a obvious volume difference from the back of the car in Sport Plus when you toggle the exhaust button. No errors. The sound does sound more rearward so ASD is must be off. It still sounds pretty loud. I think PPF-less cars sound better, but I suspect it's a frequency shift rather than a muting in the PPF - it's just a very deep rumble.
