You will only get the MSD back at the end of the lease. It's hard to get the MSD from the person who's taking over the lease even though the MSD will be refunded to that person. I'd only do MSD if I know I will keep the car for the entire lease term.

I'm just a firm believer in putting down as little as possible on a vehicle while keeping my payment roughly where I'm comfortable. However, if I'm going to finance it and keep it for a while, then I'm willing to put more down on it.

Discount was $5k off. My brother in law is a dealer there. Did the best he could. It's 10k 36 months.

Tax was around $5k and I guess the remainder he put into the payment. There are no requirements.

I got a quote on an X3M Comp that was $82,500ish. 5k total out of pocket, monthly was $879 a month that included CT sales tax, 10k miles a year. That was the best quote i've gotten by far.

Your deals seem so confusing!

UK deal is around £20,000-22,000 off the retail price, 2.9% interest and £549 in £549 per month.

Did anybody actually get a £549 / £549 deal?

I.e. £26,352 across the 48 mths.

When I went off searching for a car (which wasn't until mid-Nov) all the available cars were spec'd higher than base.

I'm sure people that got in early may have even been able to get build slots etc... but unfortunately I didn't have much of a choice of stock cars in Donnington and all had not spec on them. I got lucky with the 5th car as 4 got sold/reserved from underneath me.

Having ordered this blind and not driven the car I don't know what to make of the overall experience, but from a financial point of view I don't see much available in this class that is of better value irrespective of the deal people got. I'm sure there are 'better' overall cars and 'better' performance SUVs, but there is absolutely nothing in this price point I.e <£30k across 4yrs. (Expecting loads of message now explaining that there are tons of options....I'm still happy either way)

Dunno, but that was the base deal, I got to drive the demo car before I signed for it I thought most dealers had one?

As for the car no you wouldn't pay full up money for it, but then again no normal car is worth the retail price as they seem to pluck out of thin air.

If you can hold out you can go to the 25 dealers within your 100 mile zone that are sitting on boat loads of these things and try on dec 30. Even January they aren't selling. I keep an eye on tracking. They have sat sit August tri state has a hunk. Someone will take that offer trust me.

Not a good deal assuming your credit is good.

Know your numbers before going to the dealer. Residual in the mid-west region is currently 58%, money factor is .000128, check and see what the residual is in your area.

Know what programs are available to you (national support, regional support, model specific support, loyalty, conquest, etc). Know what others' are getting for discounts and dont be afraid to shop out of your area. When you know your numbers, you make them the offer, not the other way around.

My MSRP is the same as yours, 36/10, zero down, 780.00 before taxes.
