This is what I love about these modern performance SUVs.

On the same page we'll be discussing 10 sec 1/4 miles, track days, suspension upgrades, big wheels, fitting bike racks and towing caravans!

The only thing I like as much as seeing a sports SUV being punted around the track is one towing something big.

What are your trailer weights and tongue weights?

My outfit is about 2000kg and the nose (tongue) is 100kg (BMW limit for the type of towbar in uk)

100kg nose weight is a struggle to keep so low!

I'm currently looking into the possibility of buying an X5 xDrive45e. The electric mode will help save some money as I only drive about 10-15miles per day. I do have a 17ft 3300lb camper that I tow though. The extra torque of the hybrid will be nice for that. I am curious if anyone is towing with the 45e something similar in size/weight and what kind of gas mileage they are getting.

I was kind of hoping this thread would have had rooftop tents. Has anyone set one of those up on an X3? I’m curious to what set ups have worked well

This is my G05 40i towing AirStream Bambi Sport 19'. I don't remember the weight details, it was a rental.
But, it was easy to tow, even at 90mph and I am using StealthHitch.
