I have on the track as it was, and remains. The date of manufacture is January 24, but there is no movement. I'll probably see when I go to the dealer

I'm pretty surprised I'm still showing a production date of 1/24 but no progress yet on the tracker. I guess they can bang these things out in a day?

Ordered an X4 M40i on December 28. Entered assembly line on January 23. Scheduled for production on January 24. I better order those all-season tires sooner rather than later!

Yes. I also have an assembly for January 24, and there are no movements along the track.

Ordered our xDrive30i on January 2nd and got my prod date today using the F12 browser trick in my Garage! From most of the older posts that I have seen, this usually is more or less the date when the vehicle will leave Spartansburg.

No, that is the date your vehicle is scheduled to be completed. The build itself only takes one day, and moves so fast you may not be able to see it go through all the stages.

You'll still have to go through QC and await carrier assignment. Some people spend less than a day in QC, other's a couple of days (me - 2.5), and some a couple of weeks (rare).

I have production number ***9161, I ordered before you, as a gift for Christmas, and the date is January 24th. And like the production date, this is the end date of the assembly cycle, after that only movement towards the dealer.

• Placed the order with dealer - Jan 2
• Received prod number from dealer - Jan 4
• Switched to status 150 - Jan 8
• Original estimated production date: Jan 25
• Production date updated to Jan 24 - Jan 15
• Entered Assembly Line - Jan 24
• Quality Check - Jan 24

Will continue to update as more progress is made.

The numbers are not arbitrary. It is entirely feasible that your dealer had an allocation that was earlier than BlackBMW888's dealer allocation. That would explain the difference in Prod dates / numbers vs. when each of you ordered. That's just how it works. I've seen examples on this forum where folks ordered and had to wait weeks to get an allocation from a certain dealer, whereas others had # "in-hand" immediately. Enjoy the ride!
