Sigh, I wish. I know I'll be drooling over the new G45 X3 M50i when it comes out. I think I read it will deliver in late 2024 as a MY2025

And i see you also got the driver assist professional as well, congrats!

I ordered my x3 30e in october with august 2023 delivery but havent got anything else from my dealer but the actual sales contract number (i am based in europe). How quickly you normally get the production number? Or any other number with which you can follow the process online? And do you get that from the dealer?

Thanks in advance
I too have a 30e on order from November 2021 with an est del date March 2023 (originally June then July 2022 then Dec 2022) as you in Europe. So how long is a pice of string comes to mind.

Good luck.

Nope the UK tracker doesn't work like that in the US you have to ring/chat with bmw.

Also getting a tracking number out of the lease company is like trying to get blood from a stone.

Just got my first production date! It's saying 1/25 but we'll see how that changes as the month progresses.

Today the order status has changed to "PRODUCTION BEGINS
Today's the day: your BMW has entered the production queue."

4.25% off MSRP, PLUS (not inclusive of) $1,500 corporate discount (can use loyalty instead if available to you for $1,500) + $1,000 lease cash incentive through BMW - which I achieved going through a lease broker, no idea what the dealer is offering standalone

Still hate my payment but looking at SwapALease... lot of folks got taken for a ride on the M40i. $1,150+ (some asking for a down payment) for a sub-$70k car is dizzying. Rising interest rate and supply chain wrecked car market or not.

I ordered an X3 M40i on 12/3 and was first on wait list at my dealer. BMW accepted the build on 1/2. My order went to "Production Begins (150)" on 1/6 with a production date of 1/23. I am doing PCD delivery, and my SA called today with a delivery date in SC of 2/22 which I accepted. I didn't really expect such a quick turnaround, now just hoping for no snow in MD the week of the 22nd!

Also, FWIW, all the expected options are listed on the production order (using the "Chrome trick" in MyGarage). Let the excitement begin!

What's a PCD delivery? Does that mean you're going to the factory to pick it up? I would've thought it would be quicker than 2/22 since there's no shipping delay to receive at factory.

Where is this tracker that everyone is talking about? And do you just put in the production number? All I got from BMW is the Vehicle Inquiry Report with the production number on it when I went in to place the order at the end of December 2022.

Why does it take so long to ship to the dealer from the factory? Almost a month, this is some kind of unrealistic period, because the car does not come from overseas.
I also checked all the options today after changing the status of the order, so far nothing has been deleted.

Tracker on the BMW USA website. Simply add your factory order number to "My Garage".

PCD is factory delivery which includes track time at the facility. From what I've been told from my SA and other posts is that it actually adds 2-4 weeks to delivery versus having it shipped to my local dealer. It has more to do with days available for factory delivery (only x number of people can take delivery on a certain day) than it does with delivery time.

PCD only has 8-10 spots available per day, and it's open to ALL BMW models. So it fills up very quickly, which is why there is a longer delay to receive the vehicle. I believe someone posted back in December the earliest date they were offered was in February, and they were fine with that. Because getting to partake in everything PCD offers is an experience on its own. We did it, and will definitely do it again on our next purchase.

Also, to do PCD one has to get this scheduled BEFORE your vehicle hits 150 status.

Thank you! I understand now. Yes, it's awesome, I'll definitely try to get the next car in the same way!

PCD sounds like an excellent option. I only wish my dealer would have mentioned it to me. It sounds like the Corvette factory pick up. The factory tours are a great way to see how the vehicles are assembled. I am rather frustrated with the online BMWUSA website. I have been trying to add my new X3 xDrive30i to the garage and it keeps giving a site error. the BMW customer relations site indicated that it is a "known" problem, but no resolution in site. I have added the vehicle to my BMW app, but the app doesn't give tracking info. At least the dealer or customer relations has been giving me factory updates. My build went to a 150 (Production Started) on 1/5, and customer relations said that completion was estimated to be 1/22.

So mine went to status 150 on 1/8 and they estimate the build process to start on 1/25, not complete. Do you think that's the date they gave you? I called the Genius hotline today to see if they could give me an estimated completion date and they said they don't do that because there are too many variables.

What timing have people been seeing lately for start to end of the build process? I've heard it's a quick build process but then you have to wait for carrier assignment and shipping times.

You may get conflicting information depending on which genius you speak to. You want to find out what the production date is, it may be 1/25 in your case but if you search this forum for the "chrome trick" you can see the prod date through the developer tools in chrome.

The production date is the date the vehicle is estimated to be completed by. This date is subject to change and my week 39 build moved up a week about 10-14 days before that prod date.

The build process only takes a day once the status moves to entering the assembly line. Until that status everything is being scheduled and prepped for production. The timing of production is more dependent on parts availability and the schedule in place at the time.
