It'll either do to Emden then Bremerhaven, or straight to Bremerhaven.

After leaving Bremerhaven, it'll either go to Southampton direct, or via Zeebrugge

Apologies to readers in the US who order their car and get it the next week - not the way it rolls in the UK!
Been trying to find that out but no luck. Maybe when it departs may be able to see the destination. My sales guy thinks my car will go to Bremerhaven first.
Seems a waste of time but maybe that's the BMW distribution place for UK/EU

Hoping offloading is a quick job and they'll be away again within 24hrs of arrival!

Great find, if this is accurate then our cars will land on UK Soil Next Weekend.

Soon as it leaves port, we'll obviously know (sort of) for sure!

BREMERHAVEN, Next Stop. No messing about, dumped the cargo and we're off and running, just leaving port.

Will take a day for sure. There are definitely many cars on board for us.
Hopefully the ship will be in SOU on time. 11/27?

So true. Even taking into account the 5/6 week shipping time from SA, they seem to get theirs much quicker. I ordered mine 26th August and delivery is meant to be w/b 14th December. Been a long wait.

Really frustrating that the boat sails past UK to go to Germany first! Maybe there's a pick up job there to do, which involves dropping off in the UK.

The positives for me is it spent nearly no time at all in Vigo. Maybe we'll get lucky and it'll be relatively swift stop in Germany!

Platinum Ray now off the coast of England. So close yet so far. Hopefully doesn’t hang around Germany too long.

On 11/21 is she in BHV. There it takes 1-2 days. Hopefully after that she will be in the UK quickly.

Hi all
A newbie here! I’ve been lurking for the last couple of days, reading posts about how to track new car orders. I found this thread this evening and thanks to all the great info supplied, I have managed to find out my new X3 is on board the Platinum Ray with some your cars too! I am so excited.
I ordered the car back in mid September and it’s had the 9000 status since 16th October. And the only other info I had from the dealer, apart from a screen shot of the order, is that is she is due week 51 week commencing 14/12.
So if I’ve read everything right the ship is due into Southampton on the 24th?
So maybe I’ll get her earlier than the 14th?
I’ve never had to wait so long for a car - it’s killing me!
So I just wanted to say thanks to everyone who’s posted links to shipping info etc. You’ve made a Dorset gal very happy tonight!

Welcome to the 'Waiting for the Platinum Ray' thread!

Exciting times, you've waited a month and a half longer than I have, it certainly makes a difference what dealer you buy from!

Not so easy to say when the ship is due at So'ton - we'll know within a few days of it docking at Bramerhaven, when it's next stop gets updated on Marine Traffic.

Which model X3 did you go for?

Nothing as exciting as you big boy cars.
It’s only the 20d but with 20” wheels and every package going!
I’ve had my 420d convertible for 3 years which I love but I fancied a change.
I’m very excited and also very impatient!!!
I might email the dealer this morning and see if he knows anymore.
I have a private plate to sort out as well. Such a pain every time I change my car

FYI cargo ships have a set route that they stick to very closely time and time again. The timetable are adhered to the letter, unless something wrong happens. You could also look at past routes and timetable. You will be able to tell exactly when it will stop next to Southampton. After the cars will disembark, they will clear customs in a few days and make their way to your dealerships. I followed carefully the whole process and placed/retrieved my car from the container when I shipped my car from States to Europe with the help of professionals of course. I picked mine at BHV myself.

That schedule says Bremerhaven 30/11? Unless I'm missing something which is highly likely
