Hi everyone. New to the forums here and it seems things vary significantly between counties. Just thought it would be nice to have an all Canadian thread. Does it matter what you want to talk about.

So what did you pay for your X3.

Not sure if I got a good deal.

2019 X3 xDrive 30i

Premium Enhanced package
Leather Mocha seats
H/K sound system
Wireless charging
20 inch mags 695
Dark Graphite
Weather tech mats front and back

In Montreal area
MSRP was 58,995$
Reduced to 54,743$ (-4,243$)
Dealer fees 2,659$
So 58,000$ plus tax of 15%
Out the door at 66,685.50$

You got a better discount. In Toronto I got just 5.4% of MSRP.

I'm guessing the Canadian market as in everything else is more expensive and provides less rebates then our Neighbours to the south

I also when in on Dec 27. Not sure considering it was end of week end of month and end of week helped.

I agree. It's a bit sad to see the folks here saying they got 10~15% off of MSRP in the US. I wonder what is the best discount some one has gotten here in Canada.

I set the deal also by the end of the month but a month earlier, and after contacting a few dealerships in the GTA that was the best discount I got.

$2700 in dealer fees WTF! Never pay for their BS fees, it’s a massive cash grab that always negates any discounts you got. Always negotiate all-in price, plus tax or walk away.

The dealers fees were freight + A/C tax + tire tax + bmw anti theft

Freight is possibly the most expensive element on these fees, but the anti theft thing looks like unnecessary. When I negotiated my 30i nobody ever mentioned any anti theft device. I would suggest double-checking it.

You know I never questioned the anti theft fee of 189$ as all dealers I went charged it. Anyone know what the hell that is? It's not VIN etching because I was offered that and declined.

I got 4.5% off MSRP. The deals up here definitely are worse than down south.

Have to double check my fees again but am pretty sure I didnt get charged any anti theft fee.

I got 6% off on our 2018 30i with Ultimate Package. Another GTA dealer (owned by the same group) let me walk away when I asked for 6.5% and they were at 4% so I figured the 6% was about as good as it gets in our neck of the woods...

Diaolos is PDI included on these fees? I'm asking because the A/C tax and tire tax are not expensive.

Here in Toronto I paid something very similar for PDI (very expensive, no?).
Besides, freight looks like very close as, at least here, they're charging around 1k for freight.

They bundle the fright and the prep together. It feels expensive but I have no clue what it would cost to ship a car from North Carolina where it's made to Montreal with insurance and stuff. I image it is because I doubt they are shipping one car at a time

depending on options and equipment, if you have the BMW Connected App and your account is active, then BMW should be able to locate it (well, when the server is functioning anyway, it's currently down last I heard). Never heard of any US dealer offering this which sounds like snake oil to me

So I asked my dealer if he could tell me when my vehicle will be produced. He was not able to but have me my production number. With that I tried to call BMW Canada. 1-800-567-2691.
I provided them with the production #. They told me that my they could track my order but because it was too new of an order a production date had not been assigned yet. He suggested calling back in two weeks. I asked for an estimated date and he said 8 weeks.

Hope this helps someone. If you do call let me know what they say.

The dealer told me around 4 weeks. It might take a bit longer to deliver in Quebec, but I doubt it takes an extra month. Maybe it's related to your dealer's allocation?
I'm also waiting for production + delivery, so I can leave an update here once I get the car.
