They were very difficult to get off (you have to pull really hard), but I found the easiest way was to release the three tabs, get it started, then work a cloth behind the grill (between grill and active flaps) which gives you something to pull on for leverage.
Did you buy the OEM grills or aftermarket? I'm in the process of buying them right now. I have Autotecknic carbon fiber mirror caps coming this week. They also have the black grills. I'm not sure what to buy.

I called IND last week and asked them the same thing. The Autotecknic are $130, and the OEM are $300 (ish). They recommended the Autotecknic unless I wanted OEM for the sake of it. I prefer to stick with OEM, but I couldn't justify the extra cost. The Autotecknic were a perfect fit. Besides, IND wouldn't sell anything that isn't top notch.

Finally swapped my Cerium grills and mirror caps for black. Absolutely love the improved looks (and of course the car feels at least 5hp faster). Thanks to all for the tips. Turned out to be a very easy mod.

I bought the Autotecnics, they look and fit perfectly. No issues and it's been over 6 months.

Today was a great day for a well needed wash after 11 days on tour on salted winter roads. Looks nice with those 20" winters if you ask me. 🤩

No way.
Some parts here in the north of Sweden are. But sometimes they have to use salt. Especially this winter where it has been raining on frozen snow or frozen tarmac.
This is the first January in my life where there is no snow. #climate_change_is_real

Maybe we have been getting your snow in Colorado. We have been setting records for years. Last year 519% of normal. Right now we are 122% of normal and we have not even entered our heavy snow season.

Installed the Autotecknic carbon fiber mirrors and their black kidney grills. The mirror install took longer than the grills. The mirror covers seem like they would be very easily stolen.
