In the US you measure to 60 don't you? Most other places it's 100 kph, so 62. At those speeds it's usually about 0.2 seconds difference. So if you're measuring to 60, your comparison number is 4.5, not 4.3. All irrelevant if you're already measuring to 62.

That means the stage 1 tune is only 0.6 sec difference which should be a lot more for an ecu tune.

With the ECU tune I'm based in Australia and these cars normally run at 0-100km in 4.8 sec so it's a good difference.. The stage one tune is a basic tune and with out trying to get the most of the engine , the company who create these tunes are more focused around the longevity of the engine and not trying to over work it. So to say it's still slow is far from that.. It goes like a beast the power delivery is smooth with no sudden urges and it just feels like it should be from factory and no delay when you put your foot down.. Any way I love it. We don't have many of these cars where I live and especially one that looks like mine.. It's tuned it's lowered has wheel spacers and it's all blacked out.. Perfect combination I think |

It's not the moving of the badges, it's the changing of them. It's not an X3M, it's a 40i. It's a bit like putting an RS Audi badge on a 2 litre diesel A4. Yours is a little closer, but it's not the size of the lie that matters, it's just the lie. |

Not at all and it's not for everyone's taste I get that and it didn't need explaining.. It's the minimalist look and it's what I like I did it for me not for anyone therefore someone's opinion is just piss in the wind.. I'm just more shocked that a couple of people would be so disgruntled over a couple of badges missing.. Does it make it worse that it has M style mirrors.. All I say is X3 M who cares no 40i |

Well, I've got an X3M badge on mine, but the vent did come with it and would look shit with it removed:
Have to agree with Alex, arranging the badges to look like an X3M is a bit sad, but etto of course. |

You put the 40i at the end of the M badge and everyone is cool take it away and everyone acts like a bunch of dicks.. Thought you would have more respect on this site. I suppose not |

Guys,
Take pity on him; he truly does not comprehend the difference between an X3 M40i and an X3M. Poor soul. Maybe someone should post photos/specs of each model to educate him... |

Yesterday: got rid of the god-awful Cerium front grills and fender gills.
Today: wash crud from collection day on 12/14. Alpine White looked so nice and spotless in the Oregon dealers showroom, but 580 miles of winter weather over mountain passes left it looking like a muddy, once white dog

Picked up a X3 M40i in Glacier Silver on Fiona Red with Ultimate Package for my mother. What a badass SUV!
First thing: remove iDrive disclaimers and coded TPMS to FTM for the sensor-less winter wheels.
