Stick it all over the button, with a thin layer around the edges (fat in a middle)
Wait 1 minute. Pull it out.

Rears look great, I'm currently waiting for some 18mm spacers!
I have 17.5 on the rear and 15 up front. I'm wondering if the 17.5 would also work upfront without rub...

New X3 today so went for a drive

What a car !!

Moving to an X3 M40D today from my 530D X Drive I was not expecting it to be so much better than the 5, I think a lot of that is down to the engine, the adaptive suspension and accoustic glass.

Thoroughly enjoyed a 100 mile drive up the motorway and then around minor roads through Bowland

Took me awhile to remove it as well. But after 25+ attempts and spreading the clay completely over the button, it came out.

Just ordered the glossy black grill from IND, patiently waiting for shipping.

I think most people use stick clay to just pull it out. My red button should be coming in and hopefully the sticky clay is included like some seller on amazon.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/153557524822

if you goto that link... scroll down and it shows the steps.
I ordered the button from that link, and it's a piece of junk!!

It's a weird dark metallic red instead of flat red like the oem ones, and it has a big scratch on it!

Lovely looking car mate.

How do you find the quality compared to your 5. I ask I'm due to change my current car which is a 5 touring next year.

I have started tentatively looking at what to replace it with and I really like the M40i but am interested in real world reviews.

Out of interest what sort of delivery time did you have and do you have the new instrument cluster?

Cheers Steven
that's a nice PM, just wrongly sent

grills swap

Put the grills with black struts instead of matt aluminium (xLine visual). I'm still not sure, whether I like it, but I think it softened the look a little bit.
