Send to car from Google maps

I'm pretty positive that I have in the past been able to pick a place in Google Maps on my PC, and select Send to Car (having configured the M40i in Google as a destination to send to), and then once in the car, the notification appears and I was able to simple elect to navigate to that destination directly from the notification.

Now however, I am still able to send the destination/place to the vehicle, and it appears in a notification, but there is no way to then enable navigation from that see attached image.

Any ideas if I'm doing something wrong or if somewhere I have disabled something ?

I had the same yesterday. Normally I’d be asked if I want to navigate to the address.

So I'm not going mad..... I knew I'd used "send to car" from Google Maps before to then navigate to.

WTF are BMW playing at here......and how come, if our vehicles donlt support OTA updates has this happened.

I can only think that it came about through one of the Map updates - CliveM2 have you updated to the lates Europe 2020-2 version, as that could be whats done it (and I doubt there is a way to roll-back to Europe 2020-1 or even 2019-4 to test

Yes I’ve updated to 2020-2. Frustrating.

That must be it......bloody annoying that is....why take functionality away? It's not like we enjoy the full feature set of iDrive 7 anyway!

Not alone that but BMW have taken down their Route Planner which enabled plotting a customised route via a map which followed your own specific route rather than the route that is thrown up by the Nav System. This BMW route planner enabled the saving of the route to a USB stick and the route was easily transferred into your Journeys. I know it's not the OTA method you speak of but I do think functionality has been lost. I used the USB method all the time especially for touring routes which would have multiple intermediate destinations. A to B trips is about all the expensive Prof Nav system is now offering...another retrograde step in my opinion. Might as well use a Garmin.
