1) The tires!! As soon as they pulled it up - I could not believe it has 265's in the back. Heck, the GF's X3 M40i comes w/ 275's in the back. I've already ordered 295's for the back. GOOD news, the 265's on the back will fit the front w/ the 295's. Even my son was giving me shi....t about - "yeah dad, those should be on a honda civic.
2) I don't know how I got a spare put in this car - I think that's a mistake. Gotta be extra weight - and the cargo area is raised like three inches to fit the spare tire. YES, you know - the GF's car does NOT have a spare. THAT is the way to go. 3) If you live in SE/close to ATL - Gwinnett/Penske BMW is recommended. Fast order/delivery. My guy was Gennaro Russo. NO ISSUES w/ using my veteran discount. 4) Shout out to forum members here - helped me as I was going along w/ planning/color/options/etc. 5) Already order spacers/BMC filters/even an ER midpipe (BF sale) - But, FIRST order of business is the tire size. Heck, even 285's would be better. I've read here that 265/40/21 and 295/35/21 will fit fine. 6) Sahkir - is basically red/looks great. Very happy w/ wheels and BSM (I know, it is still clean). |

Continental sport contact tires were used as well and if you do any research on those you’ll see mostly complaints.
Regarding the rears in the front some will say you shouldn’t do it as it will affect the original handling or the car that bmw engineered. They aren’t wrong but are you going to notice this with daily spirited usage? I would venture to say no but that’s just my opinion. I’m no engineer. Michelin has information on this you can read for yourself. The rears are made up of a different compound. They also did their testing on the Nurburgring and Miramas tracks. https://www.michelin.com/en/press-re...x3-m-and-x4-m/ |

I figured the rears had some BMW engineering. Just like the star is engineered for our cars. Heck, I won't notice. And I love the color choice and the car. I've said it before, I just think the S58 is special. Here is a 265/295 thread: https://x3.xbimmers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1904841 |

You wrote, “ It DOES help that I live 30min from BMW plant in Spartanburg SC.”
Did you pick it up there or at the dealership? I ask if there is an option to collect it at the plant without the normal tour and track time since I believe there are extreme delays with scheduling. |

lol - no worries. I picked it up day after thanksgiving. Had a fam deal that day. I was worried (like an asshole) about too many hwy miles while breaking in. I pulled into rest area's/exits/weigh stations and varied speed as much as possible. These cars are high $$$.
Again - if you need one fast, shout out to my guy Gennaro Russo at Gwinnett BMW. They have a carbahn deal too and are super high volume. Have allocations. Heck, I wanted another S58 w/o some hybrid deal. Good luck!! |

295's in back look great. I posted in another thread, the rear 265's should not be rotated to the front. Just did not drive well. My 255's went back up front. So: 255/40/21 and 295/35/21. Drives and looks great. I "do" have 12mm spacers all the way around.

If you don't get on that list, there is NO faster option than getting at your dealer. You cannot get the car at the dealership without signing up for the waiting list/dog and pony show. (My GF and I did the DP show with her 2021 X3M40i - was a LOT of fun. ?Worth waiting for 2-3 months??? - No..) |
