Hiya

I'm wondering does anyone have any feedback in terms of space / internal quality comparing an X3M (LCI it would be mind) vs X5 F15?

I'm not interested in performance as such just the difference in cabin feel.

Would welcome any comments or feedback.

PS if anyone knows:
1) Does the beige / black interior have alcantara on the seats? If so where?
2) Does the dash / top of the doors have real leather? I think not.

Going from MSport to X3M will feel like a half step down in finishes. Gaps are comparable. A little more plastic in a few places. Synthetic leather on door tops and dash without an option on F97. Not sure if that option will come around on the LCI. By its nature, the X5 is further up the food chain and offers a lot small things (soft close doors for example) to enrich the experience.

A little smaller and tighter especially in the hatch area and even a little worse with the optional spare tire. It is not an extreme change, but noticeable.

Alcantara is on the inside vertical surface of the seat bolsters. The console surfaces (that your leg would touch for instance) also are covered in the fabric.

i agree with everything stated above by Chipc.

I had a F15 Msport and absolutely loved that car, then a f80 M3, but i longed for that bulky SUV look and feel. So X3M comp it was. i don't think the car feels small, its rather spacious inside. depends how you intend on using it...passengers/kids/baby seats etc. the F15 is obviously bigger, but somehow i feel the x3M is more comparable to the F15 than the new gen X5 which, imo, is just massssive !

Zero complaints about interior build quality and such, feels like that of the F15. its moreso the quality of the paint and gloss black sections i had issues with on this car more than anything.
