I'd disagree. I've already driven the M40i and I like it. I wanted to drive the X3m to decide if its worth the difference to me or if I'll be just fine with the m40.

I wouldn't expect it to be. I just now got an email from them saying it's unavailable due to "unforeseen circumstances"

Thanks for your reply. Damn...What a bunch of BS 😠. They really ruined this tour... everyone can test drive the other models any time at their local dealership nothing special to the "M Tour"

Gotcha. Yeah it sounds like you didn't miss out on much with it not being there.

No you can not. Someone on another thread said. You get a shapparone on m5 amd 850 drives. Can not take it out alone.
If this is true this tour is a joke

Pretty sure the chaperone is due to insurance reasons, the M5 Comp and the 850i being the only models above $100k , it would stand to reason that whomever is providing their event insurance would want a nanny along for that ride.

I'm kind of curious as to if someone stuffed the X3m at the start of the tour, its the only reason that would make sense for the ridiculously late notice of its absence.

This was the first day of the tour for the West. They were nice enough about it but couldn't say why absent or when the X3M or X4M would join the tour.

If there are any Phoenicians tracking you will be disappointed tomorrow...

I'm in Scottsdale and have a slot on Tuesday. Why would they not reach out to tell people they don't even have the car they offered??
Good question...I emailed customer service with my complaint and was just told they would pass on the feedback. I guess they think if they offer you the X3 M40i to drive that's it's close enough .
they probably can't even tell them apart they look so dang similar.

I just got confirmation from BMW NA that there will be no X3 M available for test drives. There was a delay in production. They are working to get them ready for later scheduled dates but in the mean time an X3 M40 will be available to drive at the event. Not the result we all were waiting for but thats the information I was told. ☹️

I was going to Columbia, SC today, but X3M was "not available" so cancelled. I can drive an X3 M40i or whatever it's called anytime.

Went to M tour event today, drove M2 Comp, M4 Comp, M5 Comp and M850i back to back. Loved the M4 more than the M2, M5 is a different animal all together and loved it on its own. M850i is a beautiful car and perfect convertible to cruise around.

No X3M but X3 M40i was there, didnít drive it.

M5 Competition there wasnít a chaperone and itís such a confidence inspiring with the AWD....the poor manager apparently gets a GPS ping every time you jump over 85 I hear.

There is a set route that they tell you to take but it is memorial weekend so traffic was terrible because the entire state trooper team was out on full force. They allow 20 minutes but it took longer to take that route. Normally it would only take 15 minutes to drive the route.

Ugh. I have an appointment to drive it in NY on June 15 and I'm really hoping it'll be available by then. Unfortunately, it's seeming less and less likely.
