Discount on 2020 X3M competition?

What discount can I expect on a $83,845 sticker?

$70k possible +TTL?

They also have a used one with 1400 miles what would be a good price?

14% off is possible before incentives. That’s what I got. Target the dealership with most cars on their lot and get multiple quotes via email from the GM. Then stack a bunch of OL, CCA, loyalty and rebates and you got yourself a steal

Good luck. It’s an amazing car.

do you mean 70 K with or without factory incentives
if dealer contribution alone that is about 17 % off , which is extremely unlikely
probably you can get 12-14 % from dealer plus incentives from factory

Yeah you can read on the sticky thread which has way more posts with discounts that people got. 10% off msrp (before incentives) is easily doable for in stock cars and factory ordered. what I read seems like 12% off msrp before incentives is where the kinda tipping line is where the dealership may not make any or barely (according to forum posts). I got 10% off msrp plus $4250 in incentives (dec) plus $500 rebate from BMW CCA.

My car had the same MSRP. I was able to negotiate 11.5% off before incentives. The incentives for my finance last month were $5500. I pushed for 12% and the dealer said no. They said at 12% they are taking a small loss. I had to negotiate a good amount to get them to move from 11% to 11.5%.

% off msrp isn’t just the only thing to consider, but MF as well. That is unless everyone is assuming base MF with % off msrp.

You should be able to get 12% off MSRP with base MF for in stock vehicles. Though some dealerships will prob say they cannot do buy rate MF. If they are charging the maximum marked up MF then push for 14% off msrp preincentive to make it similar to a 12% off with base MF.

That’s correct.

Buy rate MF increased to .00137 and residuals went down to 57% for 10kmiles/yr (down from 58%).

They did give an additional $500 lease cash ($1,750 up from $1,250), but the lower residual and higher buy rate MF still doesn’t make it as good as the program in December. Good thing is if ppl submitted a credit application in December I think it still carries into January.

factory incentives to dealer has multiple stipulations , one big factor is volume based
so this is why we see some variation in discount among dealers
bigger dealers have more money from factory to play with

Are these X3 M / X3 M Comp discounted more than X5 and X7? Seems like people are easily getting 10%+ off before incentives? If so, why is this?

They are being discounted because they are too expensive otherwise. The market has spoken.

So 7.5% off MSRP before incentives is not so good on these?

definitely not. I got 10% off MSRP even though I paid cash (no leasing, no financing).

Does it make sense that the salesman would offer me 13.5% off MSRP cash or non BMW finance but then if I wanted the BMW finance, it would actually cost me $500 more?

He said he included a better deal with non BMW finance.

That is a bit weird. Usually they are highly interested in having you finance with them. Also, there are additional BMW incentives that only kick in if you finance through them.

Yeah, so if I can buy the car from him for 13.5% off MSRP for CASH, there is not way he should sell it to me for only 7.6% off MSRP if I choose to finance through BMW. That $4000 BMW finance credit goes straight to me and doesn't affect their bottom line, does it?

Exactly. That BMW incentive should NOT affect their bottom line.

From the BMW website on the X3 M. What does this mean exactly? What is the $750 versus the $4000?

Finance at 2.99% APR Up to $750 credit
Also available:

$4,000 APR Credit.

Finance at 2.99% APR Up to $750 credit
Also available:

$4,000 APR Credit.
This is what I found on their website (for X3M):

$4,000 APR Credit is a credit against the MSRP of the loan on a X3 M. All credits offset MSRP. APR and credits valid through February 02, 2020. Credits may be combined with other offers unless otherwise stated. Qualified rate lock applicants must take delivery within 60 days of initial lock.

But just to be sure, if he is willing to sell it to me for $10500 off paying cash, I should still get this price if I finance with BMW and then get another $4000 from BMW for the financing?

He says his CASH price ($10,500 off) includes superior alternative incentives to the finance incentive. What might those be? Does that make any sense?
