Thanks! I traded in my beloved X3 M40i, but the performance upgrade is well worth it. Surprisingly, the ride is also more comfortable mostly because I had run-flat 20s on my M40i.

This could be interesting for potential X3 M buyers who read this thread. I was able to get a "reduced" Executive Package, without the panoramic moonroof. Thus, I paid for the package 2700 USD instead of the 3900 indicated in the BMW configurator.

M40i is an interesting car. It's not super fast, but the acceleration in Sport Plus mode felt very dramatic (fake engine noise, jerky shifts, and exhaust pops). There is not much drama in the X3 MC, but... dude... this car/SUV/SAV/whatever is seriously fast!

Totally agreed! M40i the brake is too soft and of cos the X3M gets the right brakes for its weight

"All packages" surely simplified the ordering process.

Beautiful car. Enjoy the ride and whenever possible take the longer route home.

Did you pay for the $2500 M-drivers package too? That was supposedly the only way to delete glass roof and still get exec pack (at discount price).

Yes, i did. To sell the M Driver's package, the dealer offered 10 free laps on the Palm Beach International Raceway.

Wow this is stunning! I too am looking to pick one up. I'll be coming from a 2019 M40i.

Thank you. I also traded in my 19' M40i. Did you test drive the X3 M yet? The performance difference is very noticeable. I didn't expect that, especially after making the mistake of watching some of the rather negative youtube videos (Joe Achilles etc... complete nonsense).

You have to document that experience somehow...

Like many of you, I plan on trading in/up my M40i for the X3M comp within the next few months. Can anyone confirm if the CF performance package/option will be available in Dec/Jan? I'm not a fan of the piano black grills/mirrors... would prefer the CF. And what's with the 255/265 tires... ridiculously too narrow. (My M40i rears are 275, stock.) I've got to believe they'll be a 265/295 option next year, no?

I can tell you that X3MC has more than enough grip with this tire setup. Putting wider tires will make 1) the acceleration slower, 2) steering even heavier (it is already pretty heavy in sport(plus) mode), 3) fuel economy even worse, 4) tire replacement much more expensive. Is it really worth it?

You can already order the X3M CF grill via IND and I'm trying to figure out if the CF mirror caps for other M models will fit on this one.

It's less about grip and more about visual aggressiveness (or lack thereof...) I'll add 15mm spacers all around and just deal with it.
