No different offsets. There is a specific M winter wheel set, orbit gray in the system. Front wheels and rear wheels are different. The retail was around $4200 in the parts system but my manager said when they release it as a set will be cheaper probably $3500. Cannot order the set now he said probably September or October.

How much different are the offsets.

It's a winter set . Who cares if the wheels are not flush or looked tucked in.

Bolt pattern and hub size are correct . I haven't done the research but don't see why they wouldn't fit .

Also need to be aware of brakes. Not sure the patterns allow clearance.

Great point.

The 19s clear the m sport brakes on the m40i so I assumed the 20s would clear .

Hard to say, the M brakes are much larger and bulkier.

I am hoping the 19s from the m40i winter package fit. I still have mine from my last car. Not really wanting to go 20s for winters

No chance as the smallest wheel offered is a 20.

Any all seasons that will fit the 20s or 21s?

I use the pilot sport A/S 3+ on my 440.. not quite as good as full summer performance in the dry but at 9/10ths cant really tell the difference

obviously not near as good as full snows in a blizzard

on the plus side can run one set year round for convenience

Yeah, I noticed that but was hoping it was just a performance thing on an M car, not so much a physical size and space limitation imposed by the vehicle itself. My 19" winter package is less than a year old. Not looking forward to trying to sell those for a set of 20s. Granted, the 19s in all orbit Grey looked terrible on my white M40i.

You should have no problem selling them. Where are you located?

Thanks. I'm not active duty any more but still work for the Army as a civilian. I've got my dealer researching my 19s with their parts department now. I expect a definitive answer on Monday. Will let you know.

Ciao

Just did my first hand wash on the X3M C last night. There’s decent clearance on the front barrels (rears are no problem), but not sure there’s enough to get down to a 19” wheel. The caliper to back of spoke clearance is crazy tight on these 21’s. That may pose some challenges to wheel swaps.

As an owner of the X3M Comp, you really need to start a new thread on your impressions, likes, dislikes, comparison to the X5M and M3, etc. Would be a big addition to the community. I had a 2016 X5M that I put 32,000 miles on. Best "all rounder" I've ever owned. Bought a 2018 M5 and it is faster, but not as good "all rounder" and rides a little bit firmer than the X5M. I'm very curious how my wife's X3M Competition will compare when it arrives in August.

None for the 21s, but for the non-Competition 20s in 255/45/20 and 265/45/20 you have:

VREDESTEIN QUATRAC 5
PIRELLI SCORPION ZERO ALL SEASON PLUS (I have these in the 245/275 sizing on my M40i, they were the only ones available from TireRack for the 2017 winter season when I was looking).
YOKOHAMA GEOLANDAR X-CV

The Pirelli's are probably your best choice unless you're driving in the snow, any snowpack will have you spinning all four of them. It's fun but not useful.

Dealer came back yesterday confirming Noushy's previous statement. The X3MC won't do 19s. So that 19 set of orbit greys from my M40i will have to be sold. Let's add some salt to that wound. He also quoted me for the 20" reccomended winter tire kit from BMW with 9s up front and 10s in the rear in orbit grey (what's up with that color selection BMW? That grey is fugly). The price? 3800 euro. Ouch.... That's a lotta cash to throw down on a set of ugly rims and tires. May have to see what tire rack comes up with....

My dealer will price match leebmann, just need to wait for them to update the website with the X3M options.
