X3M Competition Winter Tire/Wheels

I am in need of winter tire/wheels for my X3M Competition. I am thinking of the following:
Front - Pirelli Scorpion Winter 255/45R20 on Asanti ABL-12 20x9 +35 offset
Rear - Pirelli Scorpion Winter 265/45R20 on Asanti ABL-12 20x10.5 38 mm offset

The originals are:
Front - 21x9.5 +31
Rear - 21x10 +39

My concerns that the 10.5 width on the rears are a bit too wide. Considering that a 265 tire is about 10.5" wide. Does anyone think there will be a problems with this? Also any experience with the Asanti wheels?

Thanks

I'm keeping the winter setup simple. Square setup, easy to rotate.

- 255/45R20 Pirelli Scorpion Winter 105V XL
- 20x9.0" 5x112 Gloss Black Aluminum Wheels +32
- BMW centercaps
- BMW TPMS 433Mhz Units

I think I'll go with something like this... Similar look as the 764M wheel but all gloss black. I think it looks nicer than the 764M wheel. The 764M wheel screams Mazda CX-5

OEM 764M

I'm considering the following setup for my 2020 X3M Competition:

Asanti ABL-12 20x8.5 5x112 +35mm with Pirelli Scorpion 245x45x20

I figure going a little narrower to 245 vs 255 and 265 will perform better in snow and keep the setup simple with all four being the same

Complete set is ~$2100

Any recommendations / advice if this will fit / work?

DANZA
21 X9 5-112.00 wheel and configuring with Scorpion 255's all around.

Ugh - I have no clue what hub vs. lug centric means and if I should have one vs. the other for this car - how does one even tell what the wheel?

So bmw wheels will obviously fit the rotor / hub perfectly.

When you go into the world of aftermarket, you sometimes run into wheels that require centering rings. The allow the aftermarket wheels to be installed on variety of car models.

Some people say that they can cause vibration at certain speeds.
I have never used centering rings .

It would be good to ask the wheel shop so there are no surprises.

I think I've decided on this:
Asanti ABL-12 Matte Graphite Silver 20x9 +35 Offset
Pirelli Scorpion Winter 255/45R20

The only concern i have is that it is now a "square setup" rather than having slight differences in rolling circumference that you have have with the original 265/40R21 rear and 255/40R21 fronts.

Any thoughts on if this truly makes a difference? Given the X-drive/4-wheel drive does the circumference/diameter difference between stock make a difference.

I always went with narrow square setup for my M3 and never had any issues.

anyone have wheels they've used on a X3/X4 M Competition? thinking about leasing one and need to get a set up at the same time.

don't like the 764M that BMW seems to be recommending so I"m looking for alternatives, but not entirely sure how to know a given set of wheels will fit, outside of whatever tire rack recommends.

any help is appreciated.

The cold weather package comes with the 764M wheels in orbit grey which I like better than the silver/black version that comes on the standard X3/X4 M.

Thanks. I'm looking to do black wheels or silver and black so the 764M don't work for me. Looking for alternatives to the 764M

Figured I'd toss my tire rack special in here

BBS SX, 20x9 +30 all around w/ Pirelli Scorpions 255/45/20 front 265/45/20 rear

My one crappy pic:

And there's one good shot of the wheel from my shop's IG post:

Nice winter setup. Do the BBS need hub centering rings, or OEM fit? I assume the BBS badges are different size to OEM too?

I went with the OEM 695 in black. 20 x 8 square with Scorpions. Perfect.
