I found this PDF in one of the other topics for the G05 and this helped me a lot for the iX3.
I only coded the following modules: BDC/7083, HU_MGU_3E52, SAS3/42C1.

Be careful when you start coding!

Hello,

I’ve been reading this thread with interest, although I’ve found the coding a struggle to follow because I’ve never done coding.

So, what’s the general consensus for Lane Change Assist in the UK, it’s not available off the dealership forecourt? The only way to activate it is through coding?

This has been bugging me as my car was not changing lanes either and would just disable the steering assist whilst indicating.

Checked the Drivers Guide app and found the Lane Control Assistant section which helpfully showed the following instructions to enable



I’ve just checked in the car and enabled the function, need to check the box automatically adjust speed to route.



I’ve not had a try yet, will give it a go tomorrow, but hopefully it will work!

I have had LCA working perfectly. Now after the latest OTA update, it killed everything. Back in to recode but C_SWA_Land_Aktiv No longer seems to be present in the SAS module after the update. Anyone else had this?

I still cannot seem to activate the lane change with active route guidance. I’ve definitely checked the box for adjustment to route turned on. Does it have to be coded for UK users?

This is going to sound silly, but does the system need to detect traffic both in front and behind your car, in the adjacent lane for it to work? The only times I’ve tried the lane change assist is when it’s been obviously clear and safe to do so, when no traffic (or too far ahead and behind for sensors to detect) is in the adjacent lane if that makes sense? Maybe it’s because I’m being too cautious when trying it out? I turn the indicators on to the direction I want and the driver assistance temporarily turns off with the steering wheel icon greyed out.

Started my first coding at a BMW (iX3 LCI HE 2023)

All changes made via BU incl. BU ODB connector via Lan at Win10 laptop.

Enabled 5x blinking when turn signal pressed:
H_MGU Turn signal 5x in iDrive menu -> Enabled

Lane Change Assist:
BDC_Body3 CAFD 7038 3420 PfSarahMaster SpurwechelAssistent -> active
HU_MGU SpurWechelAssistent -> active
SAS3 C_SWA_Vorhanden -> Nr001-Vorhanden
Some codes are changed via Expert Mode and some via comfort mode in BU.

I do not known if it was required, but set car in Diagnostic mode (press 3x start/stop w/o pressing the brake).
Nothing else activated and no country code adjustment done.
If I look at iDrive menu I do not see any country dependency like what I see at Traffic Light Assistent.

To confirm after a test drive in NL (Netherlands), 5 times blink and automatic lane change is working by holding the turn indicator for a few seconds.

Next challenge: stop and go at traffic lights

I saw it in BU land setting via expert mode (do not known by mind but 100% it was in) ... but when I today switched on LCA I didn't made any country changes and it worked perfect.
