Active Protection Restricted Error Message

Hi All

Every time I start the car I get the below error message, it has been happening for the past week. It’s showing no signs of going away.

Has anyone had the same message or can anyone shed any light on what it means or a fix for it.

I get it when snow or ice is blocking one of the sensors. Also won't let me use cruise control when happening. However, it typically has a little picture below the warning showing which sensor is having an issue.

Are you doing anything weird with the seat belt when you buckle it, like putting tension on it or something? I’m guessing it would be a sensor or motor, maybe just a seat belt assembly.

Whatever you do, make sure the seat belt locks up when you tug the belt firmly, just in case you crash on your way back to the dealer.

Cleaned all the sensors on the outside incase they were dirty but no change.

The seatbelts are still doing the pretension procedure which I was surprised at considering the message.

RIS is due shortly so I will get the dealer to look over then.
