overland camping roof tent

Anyone considered or have done something like this to get into the outdoors more?

BMW roof capacity is 100 kg, or 220lbs, but wondering if that's dynamic weight capacity since some of these are on Mini Coopers and Subarus.

Roof capacity is definitely dynamic, not static. The best crossbars I've seen are rated to 165lb, just enough to hold one of the larger tents. But static is much greater.

Have been thinking about those exact two tents myself.

What is the recommended driving limit on the highway with that thing fully popped up? 65 MPH? 75 MPH?
