Yeah so hopefully Bimmercode sees this and will have a update fix for it soon. As I personally do not user Expert Mode only the available off the shelf presets.

M Display on the instrument cluster is not fully designed as well, I am waiting on a full design also.

And lastly the 5 X turn signal with a single tap does not work either. Coding it gives the option in ID7 and when you select it on the ID it auto reverts back to 3.

All I want is turn signals in heads-up display

I find this a real safety issue that I cannot see my turn signals in the heads-up display. My wheel position partially blocks the screen and this would be the safe way to see these. It was no problem coding this in my 2012 X3.

The digital dash isn't capable of relaying the required signal. No coding will change that

I guess that's why they made the signal ticking sound louder? And now the signal stalk does stay in the toggled position until you have completed the turn.

I think the real reason is that real bimmer drivers don't use them anyways. Lol.

I think it actually comes from the days when BMW had that horrible stalk that always returned to center. People just hated using it. Glad it's back to normal.

Hoping someday we can get blue menu colors as an option for coding. I know it will change to blue when you go into eco pro but it would be nice to code blue as standard/on all the time. Or even red like X3 M. This 2020 530e has blue standard. When going into sport it turns orange. Exactly the opposite of the M40i being orange all times and blue in eco pro.

Just a thought.

I bought a ODBLink MX+ and planned to use BimmerCode for it but came to realize that the forum instructions I had were for NBT Evo (iD6) and not MGU.

(What I really want is to be able to get text messages in car, to my surprise this was not possible in my new 2020 X3 M40i ...also just noticed today that my phone (Android) doesn't ring when I'm in vehicle, just get the notification on screen and HUD...what's that about!?)

Glad I found this thread lots of good info!
acj_sf Did you ever find a solution to this? I just picked up my car this week (2020 X3) and I'm pissed that my phone doesn't ring in the car. As for SMS, I wish my SA would have told me that wireless charging was required for enhanced bluetooth. My 2014 328 and 2017 530 both handled calls and SMS well. I feel like I took a big step back with iDrive 7 in my 2020.

【Moved to iD7 thread】
Guys, it's possible to code M Instrument Cluster and M HUD, pic below:

To Enable M cluster, first go HU_MGU-->M_GMBH, enable everything underneath(except m_vehicle_sp2018), then go DKOMBI4-->Global Layout Variente, choose m_gmbh, you can add a X3M logo in LOGO_SCHRIFTZUG(X3M logo only works in M cluster).

For HUD:

1. Search for "mview" in DKOMBI4 module, enable all the related items;
2. Search for "3010 M_GMBH" part in HU_MGU module, and enable the sub items, except for "m_vehicle_sp2018", and for those items with value options, choose "werte 02".

And you'll find a new option "M Layout" in HUD settings. You'll get RPM and speed info only in M style, no navi and driving assistence available in M HUD(who needs them in M car?)

(From the other thread as well). Did you find out more about easy entry? This feature moves the seat back when you open the door, allows more space for entering and exiting the car.

AFAIK, you'll need an extra module connected to your obd port for that feature. It'll send commands when you park your car and opens the door.

I tried to do this on 2020 M40i w/ iD7 with bimmercode and failed. HU_MGU does not feature an Export Mode. Not interested in getting back into eSys.

Forgot about that. Using Bimmercode 3.6 Testflight version you can have expert in MGU unit. You can just wait for the 3.6 update release.

Me neither, but it's cool to have. LOL

Sucks that the latest G01 seems to be quite restricted in coding features. I really want the 5x turn signal blinks and enable rear LED DRLs.

Tried this but I don't see a Seat Module as an option in Bimmercode (I have v3.6 (10806) when I select X3 (G01) despite having power seats (M40i)

Hands up for rear LED DRLs! I've been trying to find the mapping of rear LED to enable the DRLs but failed. It's different from F series. Also 5x turn not works, only the unselectable menu.

Does anyone know if a new version update is coming up soon from BC? I really hope I can get the M gauge cluster finally working and the M start up animation also. And the 5 clicks for the turn signal. Those are the 3 things that have been missing.
