I am so close to being done! I just have to install the front passenger seat.

Today I spent most of the day swapping my interior from Oyster to Chestnut. I also had the door trims painted gloss black to match the theme of the car.

It looks like you have chestnut sport seats for the front? Condition of those seats look nice. Where did you get those seats?

Yes, the old Oyster interior was factory sport interior (Msport X3) and the Chestnut is also sport interior. I found someone on eBay parting out a crashed X3 with this interior.

Car just hit 124k, and has been 6k since the last oil change. It was a great opportunity to test out my new toy, my Quick Jack mid lift

Not sure if this mos2 stuff works, figured i'd at least give it a chance

Still using old fashioned jack stands .... just in case

I've always used SeaFoam in my past cars at the 100k mark. this time around, I thought I'd give this Liqui Moly Engine Flush stuff a try

After oil changed, used Carly to reset maint counter

For those interested, here is a prev UOA from black stone labs. I will send in this sample soon ish, and will report back

What happen to those blue ramp/lift things you had?
I don't bother with my quick jacks for an oil change. I drive up onto a pair very low ramps I made from some 2x12 screwed together, which is much quicker. Understand you wanting to try out your new toys though, I've had mine for a few years and have lifted several vehicles with them. For safety, I put the jack stands under one end of the quickjack instead the frame, which provides better access to under the vehicle.

I got the BL-5000 from costco for $999 shipped. I've used them many times and have been impress with how quick it is to set up and put away. I've used them on my Z4MC, 525i, X3, 4runner, Corrado and S10 pickup. If you have vehicles over 5000 lbs, you'll need the 7000.

x3 35i M sport need new NFT tires

I am trying to decide on the best tire for my 2013 X3 35i M Sport .. I switched out of RFT to NRFT and got the Pirelli CINTURATO P7 ALL SEASON .. and they were good ... However I drive my car hard lol and take corners like i am at the race track ... so I never felt that the Cinturato handled those corners well. The Conti ExtremeContact DWS 06 had soft sidewalls .. Open to advice suggestions

sold the blue ones, the wife complained about parking (have to constantly drive ONTO the ramps and then OFF of the ramps)

so that said, they had to go .... happy wife, happy life

GOOD suggestion on the jack, I'll try that next time around. it actually makes sense and would give me more freedom under the car

Got the Enkei's from "Directlinewheels" (ebay) looks like it drop shipped from Enkei USA, was going to get them from tirerack but ended up being cheaper from directline and I had some ebay giftcards

"Rotary Forged" so stronger than gravity cast and lighter, ~23lbs for the 19s according to tirerack lighter than my stock M369s which should be ~31lbs

Installed a set of black grills on my wife's X3.

She saw a newer X3 with the black grills and commented how nice they looked.

Thanks to various youtube vids / and this site got it done pretty quickly.

Changed the oil--first time I've ever done it, on any car. Was easier than expected!

Double Slat Grills

Just installed these double slat grills on a "new to me" 2016 N55 X3. Followed the instructions posted on this forum. These were manufactured by SNA. Echoing other people's prior installs, it would be very useful to have a tool to put upward pressure on the bottom clips to release them.

Clay bar, compound, polish and wax for the X3 today. Winter are harsh here in Quebec, much needed!

I then installed the summer wheels and add some 15/20mm spacers.

Replaced rear brake pads and rotors. Darn L-side outer pad got stuck and wore super quickly, did slight damage to outer rotor surface; I get it turned/surfaced and will have spare set of rotors.

At least FCP Euro credits me for returned pad set, so only expense was rotors- can't beat Lifetime warranty from that company!

Recently replaced pads/rotors on my 2014. But today successfully modified the VO code to remove 8S4 - Decode Variable Light Distribution. It's a subtle change but love it. Lights seem to move a little more left/right and I can see them raise when speeding up. Light pattern is definitely wider when cruising down the city streets.
