Thanks for the heads up. Now I know why my build sheet is all dorked up. You can’t have ventilated seats with the exec package. Heading to dealer today to figure this out.

bmwusa.com's detailed Features and Specs page has also been updated and it too shows 355 hp. So we may finally have a disappointing confirmation.

Isn't the HP increase coming next year? Can't find the article, but I'm sure that's what I read...

My dealer said my X3 M40i will have the new engine, although I haven't seen it in writing.

I'm curious if it's still the original engine, or a downtuned TU. If the former, what are the chances they are all being used up by other cars like the Supra- but will get it mid MY when supply increases?

I'm looking at a similar 2020 build. I know the ordering sheet seems to not allow ventilated seats with ZPX Exec Package. I was at the local dealer and the sales guy went into the ordering tool and that combination was allowed. Now, I didn't order yet, so who knows, but it seems like it is just unclear on the ordering sheet.

They seem to have fixed this glitch on the BYO site.

Hinckly. I would not worry about it. Website is outdated. Bmw has children managing their website. It is full of mistakes

Im pretty sure you are getting the new 382 hp engine in your car. It was the plan all along

The updated BMW Pricing guide dated 07/30/19 has the engine in the X4M40I listed as B58M. I believe that is the 355 Hp variation, but I could be wrong.

I believe that's correct, and it's the same code as the MY19 M40i models.

Well, I certainly agree about children managing that website. It's been like that for at least 15 years and no one at BMWNA seems to care about quality control. However, the model detail page has also been fully updated with pics of the 2020 model and it also states 355hp throughout. I'm as surprised as anyone, but I think that's the answer. Maybe with all the updates for '20, BMWNA decided they needed to leave something for the LCI.

I can't tell you how much I hope you're correct, but I haven't seen one piece of BMWNA material that states 382hp. What's Etk?

I think all the speculation makes complete sense. The logic behind the BMWBlog article is right on. But where's the BMW material supporting the speculation? The only thing that I've seen from BMW is the BMW Australia product literature showing the 382 hp engine. But that's Australia. I don't think there's anything from BMW showing the 382 hp engine being offered in the US (for the X3/4 M40i). Please - PLEASE - show me what I'm missing!

EDIT: Ah, are you going back to the BMW Global press release? If so, I'm disappointed all over again. I don't understand why US members here fail to understand that BMW Global press releases out of Munich pertain to European markets. Only BMW North America releases out of Woodcliff Lake pertain to the US market. The Global press release talks about X3/4 M Sports seats, M Sport Individual models, Individual wheels, Piano finish black trim. None of those are being offered in the US. So if that's what you're hanging your hat on, I really am depressed. No 382 for us!!

I'm not going by Euro press release.

Im looking at AG model number on the ordering guide.

Note the model code change from TS33( for 2019) to TY93 (for 2020). TY93 uses the new engine.

Link i posted has info from the source who has not been wrong yet

What is the AG Code? I saw that change but don't know what the AG Code is. The AG Code changed for the 30i from MY19 to MY20. Does that model have a different engine well?
