BMW X3 broken rear defrost connector cable
I just found out one of the cable in the back of my car is broken. I wonder if this is the connector cable for the rear defroster. Is it an easy fix and if possible could anybody please tell me how to fix it or atleast tell me what should I look for when going to the part store to get it fixed. Thank you.

That's called an "earth strap", so it's for grounding the electrical system. But I noticed no difference in vehicle operation when mine was broken.
Part number is 51-24-7-273-679 and list price was US$36.35 back in 2015. |

Got the wire from the dealer, though they had to order it. You could also try someplace online like getbmwparts.com. Install is simple, just a couple of bolts.
