Front License - No Drill Options?

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
I just bought my first M, a Brooklyn Gray X3MC, and can’t be more happy. Been avoiding putting on the front license plate because I can’t stand the thought of drilling holes in the bumper. It has adaptive cruise and every other available sensor, so was wondering if there’s any solution out there that didn’t block sensors and worked? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I was in the same boat as you and got this based on reviews. Supposed to work with all the sensors. I've had it for a few months and still haven't put it on because I like the no plate look. Feel like I'm testing my luck though

I am thinking of going with the Sto n Sho.
I'll run without for as long as I can first.
I had a tow hook one on my S60R but would like the quick removal version now for the X3 MC.

I have this one and would recommend. Have to adjust it high enough so that it doesn't interfere with front sensor.

Sto-n-sho is great. Plus, you can purchase a Go-Pro mount, if so inclined, that uses the same under-bumper mounting plate.

I second the Sto-N-Sho, I have this for my X3M and having the quick-release is awesome for if you wash your car at home or if you take it through a carwash

Can you show how it gets installed? Their website insinuates that you have to drill two holes on the underside of the bumper cover. Is that correct?

Also running the sto-n-sho, did not require any drilling on my pre-LCI.

You don't have to drill anything, those screws are already there. They're in the same position on the LCI and Pre-LCI. I can send you a pic from my 2023 later.

oh ok, thats good to know. Yeah if you can please post the pic i'll appreciate it. I bought a tow-hook adapter for the plate, but it interferes with the front sensors so I get alerts that i'm about to crash. Looks like this sto-sho avoids that.

Thanks

Here yah go. only thing I did different was I put painters tape on the top of the bracket before installing to help prevent marring

Just ordered sto and sho. They said no drilling but didn’t like the fact that it blocks the intercooler.

Will most like the plate off while driving and put it on when I’m parked.
