Has anyone else seen that before / after the Nov OTA update?
What year is your vehicle and does it have the DAPP?

That’s always there if you have DAP. It only works on certain roads and under certain conditions like below 40mph I believe. It helps more with stop and go and allows a much longer timeframe with hands off the wheel. Only for highways, expressways, etc.

I didn’t realize I wasn’t using it for the longest time in my X5 and felt stupid once I realized how cool it is.

Surprised your service manager didn’t know about that.

Anyway, it’s an awesome feature so enjoy when it’s available!

And don’t forget, you have to select it by pressing the mode button. The pop up doesn’t activate it, only tells you that it’s available to use because you met the requirements.

arRod1981 It's a 2023 m40i. Yes, has DAP

jg05 I'm not surprised by the (lack of) knowledge of service managers. And that's not a compliment.

I never use DAP around town, and this is the first time since I got the car 10 months ago that I've had to come to a full stop on the highway when I've had DAP engaged. I think it's a pretty decent feature.

We have some fairly busy roads and some suburban twisties around here. I actually use the adaptive cruise quite often. It’s just a second level of support for short stops or if I get caught not paying attention. I also have it engaged almost 100% of the time I’m on the highway. It really is a great feature.

First time BMW owner. Getting new wheels for my 2023 x3 M40i. I’m going for a square setup. 20x9.5 et18 on all four corners. I need some help on tire selection. I want to either go with 275/40r20 or 255/45r20 all around. Has anyone run 275 wide in front where it can cause slower steering response?

Also, I will need TPMS and was looking at these - https://**************/BMW-Huf-IntelliSens-TPMS-36106887147-p/uvs8238-bmw.htm do we just mount the new wheels with the tpms and drive a bit for the sensors to be picked up?

Also, the stock wheels use cone seat lugs correct? Therefore I can reuse on the aftermarket rim?

Is there any way to manually override the wing mirror folding to keep them in ? Not sure if there is any coding that could help.

At present, when moving they fold out over 25mph, and won’t fold back until under 10mph.

Has anyone had their XM presets vanish?

I have a number of XM stations saved to presets and about 3/4 of them went missing. The odd thing is there are still a few available and when I try to add new ones they won't add. I can still access everything through XM and even tried resetting iDrive.

This did happen once before and they all came back a few hours later, it's been a few days now and they are still missing.

Rear cross traffic warning: Does anyone know how to code blind spot triangle and the sound alert to always come on when rear cross traffic visual red alert flashes light up on screen, regardless if car is in motion? I know the X7 has this, not sure how to enable it on the X3.

Also, what's the lowest speed that Lane Keep Assist can be coded to come on? On Bimmercode the lowest speed option is 55 km/h, I am wondering if it can come on slower than that at 45-50km/h? What's the Expert mode option for this?

Yesterday afternoon I had a bunch of my FM saved channels show listed in my PreSets lists in just random spots/order. I only have 1 FM channel in my PreSets which is at the top of the list & it went missing/wasn't saved in the list anymore. Very strange, but my system has bugs.

For about the last 2 months, at least 1 time per day it will randomly switch my audio from the BMW over to Android Auto for no reason. And since nearly day one of ownership, the left/right channel buttons on the steering won't work at random times on a daily basis.

Has anyone driven in hard down pouring rain and noticed the wipers aren't that good even at max speed?

I’ve noticed but I’m not sure if it’s the wiper blades that suck or that the speed of them isn’t fast enough.

I know you're not supposed to use the RainX wiper fluid, but I assume its ok just on the window at least? Maybe that would help.

I hardly use the wipers with my ceramic coat unless it’s a monsoon.

Really? What's wrong with RainX wiper fluid? So only oem fluid? Why?

I've only casually read some posts about it but seems like it gunks up the sprayer or something like that.

Messes up the sensing capacitor in the reservoir IIRC. There's an entire special flush procedure that sounds like it could be expensive if the dealership decided it was due to the wrong fluid.

Howdy all,

Does the X3 M40i get lane assist and radar and if so does it come with a pack?

I’m based in the UK but can’t seem to find the answer. I’m looking at a 2020/21 car at the minute
