2022 X3MC order time?

Hey all, first post here. Wooo.

I am about to order a 2022 X3MC, and I am wondering about order time length. I had two dealers say 2-3 months, probably closer to 3.

For those of you who have ordered, does that sound about right?

Depends on the allocation week honestly. Some people got their X3M's on time others seemed to have been pushed back a bit.

I had one (fairly small) dealer tell me 6-8...MONTHS. That seems bananas to me.

That definitely doesn't seem right. I ordered an x3 M40i on July 15th and took delivery on August 10th. A guy at the same dealer ordered an X3MC 2 days prior to me and his car showed up on the same carrier as mine.

Find another dealer!

The "main" dealer in my area told me November back in June, saying not orderable yet, while others on the forum already started.
I lost months talking to this dumbass.

Found what I was looking for from another dealer, picking it up this week.

What was the time in between when you got your production number and it went into production?

It depends if you can get an order in progress or not. I was told by many dealers they were booked for the year till Jan of 2022 on allocations. Managed to find one dealer with an order already in progress but that they could modify as it had yet to go onto the line. Ordered Late July and should be delivered in the next week or two!

My dealer was able to trade for an allocation that was almost ready to start production but could still fully modify the build. Looks like it will only be 4 weeks from time of order to delivery!

That's because they don't have an allocation. And they must be really small if they don't expect to be assigned one in that period of time.

I ordered my X4MC two weeks ago… got production number last week…. Anxiously awaiting movement into actual production! 😣

I've been stuck at "production started" for 14 days with no movement to the body assembly step. Does this truly mean there has been no progress and they're maybe waiting on parts, or is everything likely moving along and the other assembly steps will all get checked off in one swoop when the car is finished? Curious what other peoples experience has been with recent builds.

Same here. So I called the BMW Genius this past Thursday since there was no movement on the Tracker. They told there has been issues w the Track My BMW feature, and that mine is scheduled to be assembled Friday Sept 16th. My salesman called Friday to schedule the Performance Center Delivery;I am arriving in Spartanburg 9/29 and taking delivery on 9/30.

FWIW,sales manager told me it takes 1 day to build from start to finish, don't know if that is factual or not

Spoke to Genius this morning. They said my completion date was scheduled for this Friday but would most likely be reprojected at this point. They did not know the reason for the delay but they said in order to meet the current completion date, it would have had to have entered the next steps by now. They think I will have the car by mid October. Not in a hurry to get it.

Spoke too soon. Status just changed to entering assembly line.

Not sure why mine is taking forever.

Purchased on 8/18, completed on 8/31, at port on 9/7, in transit on 9/9 and I was told most likely it'll be at the dealership by the end of the month. :/
