BMW-NL confirmed that this is a known issue and will be resolved by a SW update at the end of this month.... fingers crossed.

Having the same issue. If you’re away from the car for more than a minute or two the car forgets the linkage between key and driver profile.

More details: Please note that there are currently problems with G08 BEV regarding the driver recognition or the key link with the BMW ID. The vehicle starts in the guest profile although a key link to the customer profile is shown in the settings. The problems are fixed with SW 21-11-540 and 22-03-510.

I see thanks. I have raised the issue to the dealer but they haven't been told me anything yet and I doubt they will on their own. I don't if it is country roll out based, but I live in the UK.

Having just spoke with BMW customer services in the UK, they still say the there is No Software update available for my car.
I have the premier pro edition and current software is 07/11.
It would really strange if anyone that got the 11/21 for their pre LCI models are in the UK.

Premier Pro model, software update fixed the issues not sure what patch version they installed. Profile and physical keys working fine again now.
