Plus it was already LCI'd while the 4er wasn't when we needed one. Still a pile of poop though, so joke's on us I suppose. The G20 will have to be a heck of a lot better to get me to buy another BMW. |

Sadly, the wife seems to be leaning SUV, so the M40i X3 might be a better fit than an XC60 or kinda cramped and heavy Cayman. The SQ5 is a little too tame compared to the others. Never thought I'd consider the taxi brand, but a GLC 43 probably warrants a look too. And maybe a lease of a Q4 Stelvio, not gonna buy one, that's for sure. |

But I agree with you, the Q5 looks tame! I have a friend who almost got one last month, but he end up heading for X5 30D F15 (no wonder why! Haha)

I wouldn't rule out the front trim based on this sample size of one - all indications (including the build on the US website) show the trim, so I have to think this was just an early production model off the line for Mgmt to drive. As for the M-Sport steering wheel, that seems a different story at this point.

Went back to the US website and reviewed the standard specifications. They definitely mention the M Sport steering wheel so may simply be a supply problem. Will be interesting to see how they handle it once they become available (for those of us getting them early). On the other hand, they also mention the 'air curtain and air breather system', and we know the breather is not there, so ... ?

I hope there's a ///M designation delete option. That M over the cup hold is so tacky.
The interior doesn't look like much of an upgrade over a F30 and this thing is supposed to be in the market for 7 years... BMW is going to have to make a dramatic improvement during LCI (doubtful). To be honest, i'm still torn between X3 M40i, SQ5, and Macan S

I've had an F30 and F80, and the G01 interior seems quite a bit better/nicer. The F30 is let down by the cheap looking/feeling pre-set buttons and HVAC controls, and that awkward brace (?) next to a front passenger's left knee. The G01 has improved on each.

See the US ordering guide. In summary:
698M style 19" wheel upgrade sport leather steering wheel keyless entry roof rail upgrade moon roof (or option to delete for $1200 savings) seat lumbar support upgraded dash (sensatec wrap/stitching) aluminum rhombicle trim (or choice of standard trims are still available) LED headlights exterior trim/aero kit satellite radio w/subscription for 1 yr Some of these are also available in other packages, so you'd have to compare with those to see which one gets you the things you care about for the best price. |

Sorry, these X cars are still with these tinny wheels/tire combinations they look silly. GLC and even the new Volvo XC60 looks better and is priced better. The fact you can't get apple play without spending 2k on Navi tells me BMW is out of touch.
