I do not have the Exec package so the front display is the standard one.

Dealer checked with his reps and they still say the dealerships are not supposed to show the new 2018 X3's as sold until November. So I'll still have to wait another week to drive it home. They are going to clean it up more and leave it in corner of showroom (locked!!) to keep away from the weather and birds.

Nice, I've been waiting for someone to get a blue. In images it seems to be about half way between Mediterranean and Estoril, though I couldn't really tell if the similarities with Estoril are just white balance making it look lighter. Your first shots look a lot more Estoril, the second post next to the Mediterranean is much darker.

Can't wait to see one in person.

It was in the window. Before I compressed the picture to post, I could blow it up and it says 23 average with 20 city and 27 highway.

The button is on the drivers side and so doesn't show up in the one I posted. Here is another one that shows the button. I didn't play with it but assume it still works the same.

Picture also shows the absolutely huge panoramic roof!!

It doesn't but that's the excuse I use when a cop asks why I don't have a front plate. I tell them the "special bracket is backordered." Shhh

Here is the shot of the front of mine. We did get the active cruise control so you can now see the radar device.

Glad to see you are getting closer, bwcooper, and thanks for sharing your photos - looks great! Once you are allowed to purchase, run some winding country roads out there and you will quickly see what the G01 brings to the table!

And many thanks to all for the great comments across the board, and apologies for not responding to each. This is a wonderful forum for passionate and enthusiastic folks interested in automotive engineering and performance, and I appreciate the knowledge and experience which so many share here.

I'll try to get a few more pictures on some other areas of the G01 posted later tonight or tomorrow morning, but also hope those starting to receive their G01s are also able to share some photographs as well, if possible.

Was going to ask if the rails are under the rubber mat but I see that was answered. It's now pretty that the spare is not a no-cost option when it comes to cargo space.

I'm glad to see quite a few people go with the 19". I was struggling myself between getting the practicality of the 19s vs the sexiness of the 20s...

Also, the blue looks amazing, cant wait to get mine too!

Is the plate just mounted between the sensor and the grill? I'm wondering how it'll look as I ordered the Driver Assistance Plus package but I won't see my car for a number of weeks.

thanks for the update! My wife will be very happy as the headrest positioning is always a sore point for her.

Headrest positioning

I'm not sure how well this will show the range of motion of the headrests, as it was difficult to hold the iPhone in exact position and also move the headrest, but here it is. Just as before, to raise and lower push the tab at the base then pull upwards. The button midway in the rest then allows the fore and aft as pushed. Not a lot of motion but certainly enough to find an individualized comfort zone.

Interesting how the late afternoon sun filtered onto the black-leather on the seat front - now can see how purple leather in a BMW would look!

Max Well, is this the tow hook cover? I'm trying to figure out where my front license plate will be mounted.

Removing Cargo Cover and Stowing

Further refinement of the Cargo cover and the removal process in the G01. There is a tab on the right which needs to be depressed first, and if you don't know what you are looking for it can be missed as it blends in well with the design elements. Also, I didn't realize that a portion of the cover extends underneath the side flooring (beneath the netted alcove), so one needs to be sure not to store anything too tall in that sub-area as it will block the ability for the cover to slide into that zone (mistake we initially made as my wife wished for items to be placed in there before we realized that).

I'm embarrassed to say, nyalpine90, we haven't even opened it yet to look. We spent most of the weekend getting familiar with the electronics and finding spots for all the stuff she had in her previous X3. She has it at work now, but I'll make a note to check it out when she gets home, if someone doesn't chime in on this before then. Sorry!

I hope so. The pano roof on my F34 has a lot of wind noise when closed. Much more that I had on my E70 X5.
