Finally delivered! (Lots of Pics!) 295/35/21r - 265/40/21f PS4S installed.
Hey Gang! So I’m happy to share a few pics and comments on the new X3MC! (Alpine White, Black Alcantara with midrand beige leather, loaded)
Day one (and already nearly 100 miles closer to RIS!) complete with window tint and tire upgrade. Moved the stock 265 rears to the front rims (keeping the 255’s for return of lease, 24 months out) and purchased the 295/35/21 PS4S for the rears... my god, this is honestly how this vehicle needs to come stock! (Although I’m still thinking 12mm spacers all around now will give it the stance I’m looking for.) Yes, LOVE the firm ride. Just as expected. Love, LOVE the seats. The steering and braking - very precise! But... let’s be honest, ASD sucks. The M40i just sounds much better, and I will miss the burbles and pops. But the pull of the twin-turbo (someone accurately described it as a slingshot) more than makes up for the less than desired exhaust sounds once she gets over 3k rpm! *Love the M seat belts. **Pic below shows the 265 next to the 295 rear, for reference. ***Delivered with Conti's. Had the dealership swap them out for the PS4S, so I could make the 295/265 swap without having to buy 4 new tires!

Looks good! Interesting choice on the tires. Do you notice much difference? And if so, is it mostly in looks, or can you feel a performance difference? It may be hard to know since it's new. Are the diameters the same?

The swap was made entirely for the aesthetics of a more aggressive stance/look. But I suppose it should grip the road a bit better as well. I don't feel a difference (only 10mm wider up front, so wouldn't expect to feel much)

Congratulations, SWOT1 - another great-looking X3MC! I do get a sense that the sound is opening up some now (in Sport+) as I'm over 5,000 miles. Definitely hearing more burbles than I did when fresh out of the box. Looking forward to more of your thoughts and images down the line.

So by swapping 265/40/21 to the front without spacer won't rub? I swear somebody said spacer is required for putting 265/40/21 in the fronts? |

Great and aggressive. No rubbing No issues at all. Handling is excellent and tad better grip than stock setup. |

No rubbing without spacers! But I do plan on adding 12mm spacers, just for the more aggressive stance.

A few new pics with the M3...
Certainly an upgrade to the “3” stable...

Looks great! Nice tire set up as well. Jealous of the seat belts, but even more jealous of the shorts!

i know this is an old post but why the hell would you put rear tires to the front, especially OEM designated tires?
