Motor1 Germany made a very pitty interview of the Produktmangage of X M-Models Mr Lars Beulke. 12 minutes video, where you just ask yourself why they choose this journalist, as he is doing his job with no interest. Anyway at the end of the interview we got the only interesting question, about new X3M/X4M vs Stelvio QF and AMG 63s. Mainly Mr Beukle replied with an indirect answer "wait and see what the pro drivers will do". However the reply wasn't 100% convincing. So we will see if we get a good or a bad surprise.

Fiat Chrysler is recalling more than 60,000 cars and SUVs worldwide because they can keep going on cruise control or accelerate even after a driver taps the brakes.
Just a simple 20 minute software update. Not anything major, and certainly not mechanical. I don't even use cruise control...never have in my entire life, frankly. Hardly call that a log added to the fire. BMW has had much worse. Check the recalls section of each model forum.

If the HP is underrated and actually closer to 525, however, and if they subtract 125 lbs (without a moon roof and rails) so Wt/HP is closer to 8.56, it would make for a more interesting challenge. Not that it will alter our X3M comp order one way or the other, but am curious to see how it pans out.
I thought the Stelvio is still the fastest one at 7 seconds, I havent seen the SVR come close as it weighs much more too.

SVR hasnt been tested yet, not even at dealerships, we are talking F Pace SVR, and it weighs less than the X3M despite having a V8, never thought BMW would be the hog of the group.

on paper the SVR should be the quickest, but I have a feeling its not, because the F Type was 3.2 0-60 and weighs less...

Had not noticed that. Once I saw the racing stripes, I ran. Clearly, this engine is easily tunable to over 600hp based on several tunes already released. Fast a hell stock, can’t even fathom adding another 100hp.

Can you comment on the braking of the stelvio quadrifoglio? Havent test driven yet as the closest dealer in an hour away. Most online reviews don't seem to mention but a couple of post say the brakes are too jerky for regular city driving? Thanks for the input

From my experience owning/driving the Stelvio QV and Giulia QV, both vehicle’s brakes are very easy to modulate, but you just have to re-calibrate your expectations for brake pressure/feel. Have had them for two plus years and really like them.

There are 2018 quads as low as $999 a month $3000 cap cost plus tax and fee. 36 month, 10k a year. I have the v4 Stelvio sport ti with a tune and some exhaust work on quad 20s and it’s a hoot to drive. I find myself driving it more often than my 2108 M3 just due to the steering and torque curve from a little 4 banger. You can throw it around and feel very confident. The quad beat many supercars on Nuremberg tracks.

I was quoted a RV of 40%, Interest rate 1.94% on a '18 QV. List was $82k, selling price of $69k. These lease horribly.

MF and discount not bad. If RV was 60% it'd be a pretty good lease
Yep. I really was tempted to pull the trigger on it because it drives so insanely good. But when I looked at the lack of content I just couldn't make sense of the lease payments, especially when the X3M should lease a couple of hundred more for what's promised to be better performance. Purchase is a different story though.

Wait, so depreciation in 36 months of 60%?! Man that's a bad lease even with good discount and interest rate. Are you sure the residual wasn't 60%?

I paid $67,000 cash for my $86,940 MSRP 2018 Stelvio QV. A lease would have been much better on that deal. Amazingly fast SUV.

Actually just bought a totally loaded slightly preowned 4C Spider last night too. Won't get it for about a week because the seller has a loan to payoff on it. 2018 with only 591 miles on it. Was able to get a 27% discount off of original MSRP of $84,845, just because the seller is moving back to Europe very soon.

Super lightweight car, but incredibly visceral driving experience. Think back to what a 1970s Ferrari or Lamborghini was like to drive, if you were old enough to remember that generation of cars. No power steering, super loud (Factory Akropovic Exhaust option), quick, superb handling, extremely uncomfortable seating, totally impractical...and absolutely glorious! If you've never experienced one, try to test one out. You'll never forget the drive...for better or worse!

Great comment. It was between the loaded 2018 4C Spider and a well-equipped 2018 718 Boxster GTS...also a really great car. The Boxster would have been the smarter all-around decision, but was also $19k more expensive. If was my only car, would have definitely gone that direction because it makes for a fun daily driver, but since I already have a Giulia QV and Stelvio QV, I had that dept covered. As a 4th car, I didn’t want to spend that much being such a short Summer in New England...plus, the 4C is just a real thrill to drive, despite being 237hp stock.. Had to grab one, even if it is just for a season. Porsche will keeping churning out the sausages in varying lengths forever, so plenty of time to re-join the Porsche universe again. We are all so lucky to have such amazing choices available these days.

2108 Quad discounts

Discounts seem to be increasing: internet browsing this morning shows an over 26% ($22,500) discount on a new 2018 Quadrifoglio with $85,340 sticker sitting in Illinois.
