Looking for screen protector for 2023 X3 without Premium Package

Hey all! I've tried 3 different screen protectors and I'm slowly losing my mind, as I try to find one that actually fits.

I have a 2023 X3 without the Premium Package, so I believe the screen is 10.3 inches, but the frame is larger than that. I've seen the Premium Package's 12.3-inch screen in person and it was less trapezoidal and more rectangular.

Everything I've ordered is either too rectangular or short. I've attached a photo of one of the screen protectors I ordered against my screen. You can also see the difference in screens in the other image uploaded, with my screen type being the one on the top.

Does anyone have any recommendations that fit this?

Thanks a ton!

Neat. Do they really work? As in sensitive to finger touch?

Yes, and they are great for cleaning off the fingerprints.

The best way to take care of your screen is to not touch it. I have yet to find a reason for touching the screen when I have the wheel control to go through all the settings without having to reach all the way to my screen.

Just reporting back, the one that ended up shipped to me when ordering this seems to be the one for the premium package. Gonna try to reach out to them.

The best way to take care of your car is to not drive it. 😀

I agree when using the BMW side, but CarPlay is somewhat easier to just smash buttons in the screen.

Why do you need "protection"?? My screen (2020 X3) appears to be faced with glass or a hard glass type material. Unless one would use a pointed or sharp object to touch the screen I can't see how it would become damaged.

Am I missing something? If not, then the last thing I would do is cover it with anything.

The screen is not made of glass. The oils and whatever other stuff is on your fingers slowly deteriorates the screen.

Because scratches happen. Rather them be on a replaceable $10 piece of sacrificial glass than a $1000 screen. Had this happen on my van and wished I had a protector on that.

Yep this is precisely my reason. I had a screen protector on my last vehicle too and felt completely fine wiping the screen off whenever because if I scratched it badly, it's a simple and cheap fix.

I’m not sure if anyone had an F25 but the screen on them was made of a material that got destroyed. I cleaned it with Invisible Glass and a microfiber cloth and it was ruined. Whatever coating that was on it came off with the glass cleaner. I wasn’t going to take the chance again .

agreed, this is a crazy thread. If I wear my screen out touching it, oh my, bmw won't be on my next to buy list. It's a car for pete sakes, enjoy it.

Perhaps most of this forum doesn't use CarPlay or Android Auto, where many interactions are much quicker via touchscreen. However, there is a market for this, as evidenced not only in this thread but for practically every car model you search for on Amazon.

The issue is not touching the screen, it's being able to spend ~$15 to regularly wipe the screen off without the risk of scratching the hell out of the glass. I'm not quite sure what's crazy about that.

Yeah, 10 years from now when I replace the screen protector, the original screen will be flawless and another protector will go on.

I suppose, but I assumed they were glass like my iPhone, not plexiglass that scratches easy. For me, A microfiber cloth works just fine. And yes, I have a shield on my iPhone, it's because drops on sharp edges can crack it, not that I'm worried about my finger scratching it. Just because they make it doesn't make it a viable worthy product in my book.

To each there own , like my post above said. The 2013 screen got ruined from Invisible Glass cleaner and a microfiber cloth. It really did matter to me when I went to trade it in ,and the salesman asked what happened to the screen ?Then said that they would have to knock off $$$ from the trade in price because It looked like $hit .
