Kill switches

First post on this forum and I wanna start with safety. As I live in New York City crime is through the roof. I’m interested in getting a x3m40i and I need safety measures JUST in case. Yes I will have full coverage but still. I’m interested in hearing what kill switch you all use (if there is any) for your x3. Thanks

Yes…it’s worth the $400~$450

I bought it primarily for the pedal control function but the anti theft aspect is a definite bonus

It’s a very simple install…just need to remove the gas pedal via a single Torx bolt

All the wiring etc gets tucked away adjacent to the pedal

Rott, it looks like something for me to add 😁 and the bonus of security.

Rottweiler is disabling and enabling easy?

Thanks,
E

It’s a very well designed product

You can change pedal settings and anti theft mode with just a press of a button

Genuinely straightforward

I live in the Bay Area and have the same device for the exact purpose. It's definitely worth it! The police here don't even care about car thieves anymore; it's best to take action ourselves.

Finally got my ATTC installed today. It works great and the throttle response is great!.

Just need to test more of the anti theft and using the app on my phone.

They don't steal whole cars anymore - not worth it. It's not THAT simple to replace just the ECU. Ain't nobody got time for a "cooldown" of that car - it must literally disappear from sight for a while. So, it's much more frequent that your headlamps, or an infotainment system disappears. They are quite good at it, they don't even bother with the alarm on, it happens quickly. Plus, it doesn't have any identification on it, so they can sell it instantly, without much masking. The link provided seems like plug and play solution - and that's the main issue. If the thief unplugs it....
