Interesting! Just checked a couple of M40is on sale here and indeed, looks like they do not have active grille shutters. Might be a Diesel only option, but I don't really get it, as I understood they are as well lowering cW (Cd) values with them.

Had to do a detailed exam, they have them!

Really tightly closed blinds behind the grill bars, almost looks like a single piece of plastic, but there is a paper thin gap in between, almost invisible due to protruding grill bars.

HK is standalone option. I believe is $875

Don't know if this applies to other markets, but BMW UK now shows HK as an option orderable below M40. However, it will only be available on builds from week 18.

It's defo on the BMW UK X3 Configurator for models lower than M40. Just added to a 20i build, whereas before the system wouldn't allow it, but still no HUD on these models -

In Canada, its available to the X3 xDrive30e & X3 xDrive30i within a 12 options packaged together. Not available as single option.

Man, the chrome grill just kills it for me. Deal breaker. Really needs a shadowline grill.

I totally agree, the shadowline blacked out grill is a definite in my opinion. Got it on my order.

It’s all subjective I suppose, I just like the blackened grill & window trim and full chrome delete with the Brooklyn Grey as it’s a cracking colour combination IMO.

22 x3m40i on order and im so torn on switching colors. I ordered BG but i really may switch to PB. cognac vernasca leather. I want the 718m rims but not available which really has me pissed off. so going with the 20" all black non run flat and desperately trying to find a set. Cannot wait to get it!!!
