Speedo's going misaligned
Featured on BIMMERPOST.com First post on here but really need some help. I have a BMW X3 2018 G01 and have had this intermittent fault now three times. I have taken it back to the dealership and so far they have replaced the control centre (i think thats what its called!) and performed a software update. Both of these clear the fault but then after a few weeks (last one was months) it returns. I couldn't find anything on this in the forums so hope you may be able to help. I've uploaded a couple of pics so it makes a bit more sense Thanks Stuart |

That is really strange!
I'm pretty sure the control module is built into the display, so both should have been replaced, so it's either extremely unlucky to get another faulty one, or something else in the car is interfering with it. |

I clicked this thread to comment about the title and LOL about it. But right when I saw your actual post my funniness left my soul.
BMW get your ish together. Definitely take it in to the dealer, when it returns if its intermittent try to take pictures and videos and have a time stamp or date for proof purposes. Remember you are protected by the Lemon law, yes the entire process is way too complicated and may not actually come to that but reminding the dealership about that will hopefully get you service and some positive BMW experience which we all hope to receive. |

Somebody had this.. can't remember where it was posted and who it was.. But it was also in this type of display (shall we call it hybrid?). If I remember correctly, his did correct by itself after the car was left off for some time. Sorry, can't help more.

2018 X3 30i and this same thing happened to me about two weeks ago. I had it in sport mode to drive to grocery store, come out 30 minutes later and same thing as you...everything misalighed. it did not correct itself during the 15 minute drive home, but then i got in car that evening after about 3 hours off and it was back to normal and hasn't returned.
btw, I have had zero issues with this car in 1 1/2 years, over 34k miles. |
