Yeah I find his reviews to be the best out there, no b.s. he just tells it like it is, and he (literally) gets under the car to show the details. I have never found someone that covers the details as well as he does. I wish he cranked out more of them - like some have posted on his YouTube page he should have a show on Amazon or something.

Now that's a real car review. He should do another review when the X3M is released. Thanks for sharing!

This guys reviews are great. It's amazing what you can report on when you aren't pandering to manufacturers.

I'll say the same thing I said when the video first came out.

Why does he have run flats AND a spare tire? Odd to see him driving around with DSC off like that too...
Don't disagree about the volume rocker on the steering wheel, but it's basically useless with the gesture commands being so damn natural.
I think the back seats are fantastic and I'm 6' and I've never noticed the back doors being small.

Other than that, it was a pretty interesting review and like seeing the undercarriage.

I just picked up a 2018 X3 for my wife and we're both really enjoying it. Came from an Explorer which was just painfully boring. The iDrive and gauges are so nice it makes my 2016 340 feel dated when I get back in.

He's got sort of a Zen-like aura doesn't he? I like his 6 series GT review better.

That was a good catch. He said he has run flat tires (Pirelli P7's). I don't think that is available as an option. My car has standard radial tires and a spare. I asked at BMW if I could have run flats with a spare. They checked and there was no way to order it with that configuration. It is essentially an either or...either run flats and no spare or straight all season radials with a spare.

What I'm figuring is that by the looks of the car the underneath when it was on the lift it looks pretty well used. So do the tires. That car has some rough miles on it by the look of it. It also has NJ plates which is where BMW USA headquarters are. I figure they changed out the regular radials and fit it with RF's for whatever reason...anyway, good catch.

He didn't talk about the optional (or maybe standard) glove box delamination feature. My X3 has it...came standard . Overall, a nice commentary. I am interested in the X3M when available............

Delamination feature eh? curious to hear this story. I am looking at an x3 m40 and while the interior is pretty I'm not feeling the quality as much as the older models.

That's so weird. I had no trouble ordering the donut with 19" runflats. Just clicked on a checkbox, done.

Edit: this is on an xDrive x30i, not an M40i.

Thanks...I appreciate the follow-up. I just went thru the BMW build sheet and my order. It shows that the donut was item 300 at $150. But there isn't any option that I am seeing to have the donut with run flats...strange.

I'm confused. The donut doesn't depend upon any x30i package -- you just order it. The only curlique is that, on the x30i, you get it free (automatically, I think) if you order the Premium Package with 19" non-runflats.

My x30i has Bridgestone Dueler H/P 245/50R19 runflats, and a lack of cargo space caused by the donut.

I just went thru the build sheet and price list again. You are 100% correct. My dealer was dead wrong. I have the premium package. With that you have an option of run flats or standards. Run flats are coded 25y and regulars are 25x. With 25x you get the donut at no cost. With 25y you option the donut at 150.00. I chose the standard tire because I don’t like the run flats on my 328. Can’t stand them.

Anyway I appreciate your clarification.
