Strange errors at the same time this morning M40i

So I woke up this morning to find out Comfort Access wasn't working, fine, unlock with FOB and got it, then I got several errors on the screen,

Parking Assistance Malfunction error
Comfort Access limited error

These errors will not go away, I tried cleaning all ultrasonic sensors, no go.
Comfort access also doesnt work, have to lock/unlock with FOB at all times.

Also took it for a drive, then it complained about resetting tire pressure. TPM

Could this be a easy fix? Maybe a fuse? Loose connection?

Thanks in advance.

If the messages are not clearing after the vehicle has been off for at least 10 mins, then I would personally rake it to the dealer (if still under warranty)

Its under warranty, I only had it for 6 months, if it is indeed rodent damage like someone suggested in here, will it be covered? Apparently BMW is using soy based materials for wires nowadays.

Regards

I don't know if the other poster was joking or not, but even if not warranty, how else would you get it fixed if it were mice/squirrels? I think either way, it's a trip to the dealer...

I guess i was trying to avoid that, since they always seem to have a queue, thats why I came here to see if anyone had any past experience with a similar issue and maybe something to go on about trying to fix myself if it would a simple thing like maybe a battery reset or fuse.

Regards.

Yeah, fair enough. Give it a few days, maybe someone will chime in with similar issue and fix.

covered by your insurance, not warranty.

have you recently added anything electronic to the car or made any coding changes? could be a drained battery.

Negative. I did do some research, apparently newer BMW's are prone to be rodent paradises because of the fact BMW started using Soy and Rice based materials for wiring/wiring insulation. Toyota is the same way with newer vehicles and there is even some sort of lawsuit agains't Toyota because of this.

I did find a couple of nuts inside the hood, so, im leaning towards rodent issues.

Ill be calling dealership tomorrow, will keep you guys posted.

Interesting you mention Toyota, a friend with a new Prius had several rats eat the wires under her car just a week after her vehicle purchase.

Do you drive the car often? When you start see a large amount of unrelatedly electrical errors it is usually the b/c the battery is low either due to not being driven enough to charge it, something draining the battery or b/c the battery needs to be replaced

A battery with slightly lower voltage, perhaps due to something leaking a current (always-on dashcams, etc...) will disable comfort access.

Somebody reported this here, with a dash cam turning off at some voltage level, which unfortunately was lower than what comfort access needs. Perhaps the other issues can be blamed on low voltage as well.

a friend of mine had a Mazda cx-9 and had rats eat out all the wiring. all covered under his warranty, and it was a few years old when it happened.
