Can't see the picture but I'm sorry man. My M3 was hit the first week or so as well. Had to get a new rear bumper (luckily it was before ceramic coating). Then about 2 months ago a lady backed into the same spot lol, this time it just need new paint. It can be fixed.

Sorry to see this focker. I remember how excited you were when you took delivery from your Thread. Just really sucks! So many distracted drivers out there

I wish car manufacturers would have dashcams available as an option from the factory for a nice seamless integration. I've made this suggestion on several JD Powers and other car owner surveys.

My Stingray has one from the factory - I've never needed it since I've never been in an accident, but it's nice to know it's there.

I have DA plus. Car came into my lane from the side, no warning at all. I was a bit shocked...Not sure how close they need to be though so.....

If it is like the other safety systems, I think the car needs to be going at least 41mph. Bmw’s tech seems so buggy these days so who knows why or when it will work.

I am using a Vava 2K Dash Cam, it has been working very well for me so far.

I do have all the safety feature options but I did not get a warning. Probably happened too darn fast for even the car to expect it.
is it front view recording??
how difficult is the install?

Did you watch the video?? Yes it is front view.

It took me about 45 minutes to install, I ran the wire to the lighter plug outlet for the rear seats.

Gotcha. There is no package for front and rear. Several people on the Vava Dash Cam group on Facebook have mounted a second unit on the back window of their vehicle with good success.

The Vava cameras have a built in battery so if someone taps you while the car is off it records the event.

It is being fixed now. I am so lucky that the front wheel took the brunt of the hit.
There are zero dents in the body but it will require paint work on several areas and the front wheel is being replaced.
