Front lighter

Hi guys

I just got a x3 recently and i can t get my front lighter working, i checked all The fuses (trunk and glove compartiment) including the famous 54 fuse and still doesn t want to work, anyone solved this?

I never had this exact problem, but have fixed numerous similar problems by using a schematic and voltmeter to properly troubleshoot the failure, it's as basic of an electrical circuit as it gets.

Mine wasn't working when I got it, when I got around to fixing it- it was either 1, 54 or 65 since it was in the glove compartment. Whichever it was, it didn't look burnt out but swapping it fixed it. Sorry, that's not a ton of help but sometimes they aren't all burnt looking.

Thanks guys i Will check first with with an voltmeter to see if its coming something if not i Will check The cables underneath The socket.

My 2017 X3 does not have a cigarette lighter. I’d like to install one for charging phones. Is their a thread here on how to take the console apart to install the new cup holder section. Then there is always the issue of whether there is a wiring harness underneath to get 12v.
