Interesting...Not that important, mainly just curiosity... Next time you are in the car, switch it to Comfort and see if it closes the flap, or the other post is wrong and pulling the fuse does disable the flap control module. I do prefer the ability to control via iDrive, but either way I am glad there are less invasive solutions than installing an aftermarket flap control unit. |

Picked up an immaculate 2021 m40i the other day and got straight into coding all the silly features out. I was trying out the different displays but didn't like any of them because non of them displayed the drive mode except for the stock display. I went back to the stock display to find that the M40i logo at the top had disappeared
Anyone got any ideas on how to get it back? |

Crisis averted. I just reverted back to the original coding and it came back.

Hey everyone,
I've played with bimmercode a couple of years ago when I purchased my X3 (G01, 2018 production). Haven't used it since though and after a recent software update at the dealer, all the settings that I changed went back to default. Still had the app on my phone, but it was an older version, so the "headunit" section was greyed out. I updated the app to the latest version, and was able to gain access to the "headunit" again. Changed several settings (not only in that section) and all worked perfectly fine except the Welcome screen. Previously, on the older version of Bimmercode that I had, there was just the option to change the start-up animation. With the recent version, there are 2 options - first one is to choose if I want a welcome screen or an animation, second one is what animation that would be. I tried every single option possible, and although after I apply the changes the system resets showing the correct animation that I chose, after I finish coding, lock the car and start it again, it reverts back to the Welcome screen (in bimmercode, it still shows that I changed the animation). Anyone faced anything similar and knows how to fix it? Thank you in advance! |

I've done my first coding change: no seat belt chime at start-up.
After the update I got an error code about "stabilitrack" or "stabilization" (not sure). The error cleared after a couple of engine starts. Are these kinds of error codes normal after coding? Last edited by Raphael X4; 04-19-2024 at 08:45 PM.. |

Yes, absolutely. By the time I'm done coding(or uncoding) between all the chassis stabilization and etc. codes — the car should be just left to die. Really all the prompts should go away on the very first start once you get out of diagnostic mode.

I never had lifetime maps, but I did go to Shawn for full screen carplay (car already had carplay). Later the i-version of the car was updated for an unrelated issue and I was able to go full screen carplay via bimmercode. later added bootmod, so far no problems.

headlight errors
hello everyone, I hope someone can help me here
I recently brought my car from America, BMW x3 g01 2021, the front right headlight in the car was broken ( full led headlight) and I replaced it with a used EU one, and installed the old modules from the US headlight, since they were fine. But the headlight behaves strangely. In the headlight mode, all the angel eyes light up brightly, but when I switch the light to auto or low mode they stop working, I know that they should work but with less brightness. I also replaced all the blocks from the left working headlight, but this did not help I really hope that this can be fixed with code by assigning the necessary settings to the headlight |

Hi Everyone.
I am interested in purchasing bimmercode app, anyone know if iOS/Android/Windows are are about the same? I am an Android smartphone user but have Win 10 laptops as well and have older iPhone 6s lying around. I will still need both of these correct, even if I opt for the Windows version? Many thanks. https://www.amazon.com/Ethernet-Inte...dp/B00MECEI14/ https://www.amazon.com/Ethernet-Adap.../dp/B077KXY71Q |

When speaking to the Salesperson, we were told Bimmer Code could void factory and extended warranties here in Canada, is there any truth to this? Sounds like BS to me but just wanted to confirm.
I don't plan to do any extensive changes, maybe set up Sports Individual as the default setting for the two user profiles. |

Sounds like BS to me as well. Bimmercode just enables/disables features, same as the dealer could do. Not the same as modifying the ECU with a tune, which would affect any drivetrain-related warranty claims, but nothing else.

If not, I'd suggest changing dealerships if possible. Or to avoid issues, leave the car bone stock, which is safest. In my case I spoke to the service advisors at the two dealerships I use and told them what I planned on doing. No problems. |

Does anyone know how to code the service message back to correct mileage ? I've coded a few things years ago via bimmercode. Last month I was trying something, not good then tried to use the restore function in the app. It restored everything back (the HU unit) but now the reminder for service / oil check service is incorrect mileage. The car already done 50,000km but the reminder message of oil check for 15,000km (which I assume due to the fact that the bimmercode app was restoring the backup from a few years ago.
Is there a way to set the message reminder to correct mileage ? |

2020 X3 M40i here....
My anti-dazzle/auto-high beam light has to manually be activated every time I start the car. Get in, start car, hit the button on the side of the blinker stalk. Is there a way to have it remember that I had turned it on and for it to stay on?
