Brake Lights

When going down an incline with the cruise control on I can feel the brakes being applied at times. Just curious, do the brake lights come on when the cruise activates the brakes?

Yes. If the brakes are actually applied to slow the vehicle, the rear brake lights illuminate just as if you had pressed the brake pedal.

If engine throttle reduction is used to slow the vehicle down, then the reaction is the same as if you had lifted your foot off the ACCELERATOR (no brake lights are initiated).
