GTF, do you live somewhere that Alfa actually sells cars? Is there a rumored on sale date for the 4C? All we get in the US is bad speculation.

The Alfa 4C will be available to European customers in September.

Its a 2014 release, but it isn't likely to go on sale until after the new year. We usually receive the US market prototypes 6 months or more prior to launch and they haven't shown up yet.

Those rims have a long history with Alfa. They've shown other versions, but those are as close to what Fuchs represent to Porsche that it would be hard for me not to pick them.

Yes they have! Craig Federighi, Apple Senior Vice President, Software Engineering, has shown it already on June 10, 2013 at Apple's World Wide Developers Conference 2013 :

Also, earlier this year on January 11, 2013 an Alfa Romeo 4C prototype was shot on a Michigan expressway:

So, I would say that the Alfa 4C will be available for the US market at the time of the LA Auto Show (NOVEMBER 22 - DECEMBER 1, 2013)...

Are you mad?!?!?

Those rims are absolutely fabulous and one of the Alfa Romeo's best known trademarks:

I was refering to at my facility... Of which they have not arrived. And based on that time table, it will not be ready for launch by the end of the year.

Do you work at Sterling Heights Assembly, Fiat/Chrysler's facility in Sterling Heights, Michigan? Did you have the chance to see the following prototype shot in Michigan on January 11, 2013?

Thanks for the update, hopefully we do see them here this year, or at least get pricing info.

No, Auburn Hills. That is a mule. Mules mean very little in terms of how close a car is to production. You can see them years before launch in some cases, and still see them after launch... I see 4C mules daily, probably have seen that one, but I can't say because I cant read the plate.

The cars i deal with are much more production ready testing actual customer usage. When those arrive you know launch is getting close and usually get a date.

I like more cars like E46, E9X or 997 dashboards, so solid and simple. Of course someone like 4C interior, but just me it looks like money ended when cf chassis was planned and they just throw everything inside. In my mind race car dashboard means very simple and everything unnecessary is cutted out. Plastic looks cheap too.

Why are Levi and GTF referring to this as a race car? Even after GTF posted pics of an actual 997.2 racecar? This thing has a plastic engine cover, three point belts, a radio, a/c and street tires and is about as much or as little a race car as any other production car. If it had a roll cage, was plumbed for a fire extinguisher, had air jacks a kill switch and at least had Pilot Cup tires, you'd at least have some basis for this shenanigan.

I think you just very clearly defined one of the primary differences between a sports car and a GT.

I find this hilarious. You chastise someone for complaining about the vent tubing in the engine bay and say its justifiable because this is a "race car", yet you then complain about the interior of a Lotus and say how the interior quality Alfa is far better. Or how much better the alfa MPG is versus the lotus, or even how hard it is to get in a lotus. But I thought this was a race car? Who cares about interior quality, vent tubing, or MPG right?

This is a race car man...a race car, you know?!?!

You can try to justify the car all you want, but this is far from a race car.

I saw it live today for the first time... DEAD DROP GORGEOUS!!!

Also, the interior is very neat and the plastics although hard they have a very nice touch to it. You get an italian sportive quality kind of feeling highlighted by visible carbon fiber all over the place. The quality and the quality feeling is MILES, MILES away better than a Lotus (which is not that difficult ), trust me!

On the other hand, the Cayman interiors look like 'a living room' in comparison. I love every single aspect of the Alfa 4C, so cuore sportivo.

I couldn't live with an Evora - I tried it, get in and out of a Lotus is ridiculous - let alone an Elise.

Moreover, the Alfa 4C is more fuel-efficient than the Lotus.
