Your setup is different than X3M.
Also, what you are measuring is not the rake or amount of drop.
That is just the height adjuster gapping.

Since you are in UK, why don't you get in contact with MSS directly.
Hi, I'm aware I'm measuring the gap, however they state the fronts lower 40mm and rears 50mm max so with a 5mm gap the rear should be 45mm that's 20mm lower than the Eibach springs, it's actually higher than the EIbachs.

Reason I asked if any forum member could measure the wheel to fender is because in an email I was told it will lower my x3 the same as the x3m and will be lower than the Eibach's springs.

The Eibach's are night and day better, the rear mss springs are too soft, the body roll is quite alarming because you think the rear is about to break away.

It look good on the Eibach’s, your MSS certainly looks higher, definitely doesn’t look like others on this thread.

MSS quote on there website the kit for my x3 front 40mm / Rear 50mm max drop.

Eibach for my vehicle are 25mm fr/R

It's actually now sitting higher than the Eibach's, the rear is to soft and there's a lot more body roll from the rear, it feels like the rear is not working in conjunction with the front when you drive it with enthusiasm.

A detailed email stated: "Hi Dave, the X3 will lower the same as the X3M. MSS recommend a 20mm positive rake. This will still lower the X3 more than the Eibach springs"

I think I need to speak to all parties and try and get a fix alternative I'll get the installers to fit KW Adaptive coilovers.

The problem has now been resolved, I cannot praise the installers enough, there going to remove and refit my Eibach's until the KW adaptive kit arrives.

Glad it is resolved - is the end result that the MSS will not lower the X3 as much as the X3M? That is surprising..

I have been lowering most of my cars with lowering spring and stock shocks since the 90's. So far all of them lasted as long as I own the car which is an average of 3 years 30k miles.
I have had and seen customer with coilover that is blown after a year of normal street driving. Known brand too.

Based on my usage and testing, if you follow my recommendation and installed properly, it will not prematurely wear out the shock.

But, if you don't care about losing the EDC, KW V3 is a solution too.
Expensive but good once dialed up properly.
Thank you for the reply. You mind sending me a quote for getting this system installed through you please? I am located in Temecula. This way I can get a general idea of what we are looking at.

Hi guys,

I just installed MSS Kit on the 2020 X4MC and ran a couple of hundreds mile.

The current installation is something about 20mm front and rear and now I understand it is not so right. With 225-3 springs on the front, I should have at least 15mm rake and this is something I want to fix tomorrow at the shop I've installed the kit.

So far I feel a great improvement in comfort on a road, going better each next day.
But I noticed also a really annoying thing - the bump stop or other sort of kick is happening when I'm driving 25mph faster on some sharp speed bump or when some top asphalt layer connects the lower layer not too smoothly (the usual thing in my city at the moment). Such sort of sound I never experience on any car before, including X4M stock springs, Macan (Sport+), 718 Boxster, or Infinity FX37...

Here is an example of a ride: https://youtube.com/shorts/DpsQx10Q3e8?feature=share

I'm curious is that common for everyone who installed MSS? Or MSS springs should behave similarly to stock in such cases?...

What would be the perfect MSS dial for 2020 X4MC, without running into any issues with the clunk noise guys have been complaining about. I read that the X4M sits higher than the X3M.

I'm really wanting to get a set of MSS springs installed but the quotes for install are pretty expensive. First place is $1650 not including alignment. Second estimate was $1500 with alignment. These are both BMW only shops in the Dallas area. I have one more place to get a quote from.

Does this sound right to you guys? Quotes do not include springs!

What’s their hourly labor rate? Then you’ll obv know how many hours they’re allocating for the job.
