I see some people are saying to use the G80 engine cover when switching intakes . Does the G80 cover sit higher or what makes it work better ? Could an aftermarket carbon G80 cover work as well ?

Yes the aftermarket G80 should work just fine however you will need to cut it in order for it to set flat

Looks like they did great job. Seems like lot of work for a cover. Doesn't anyone manufacture and intake that is decent and doesn't require modifications?

Omg… why is that x2 price of the RK intakes? Here I am with my “cheap” BMS intake (which I love).

And I thought his carbon fiber pipe was a custom one-off deal he had fabricated for it? I read that in a thread somewhere

I'm just using cone filters and enjoying the sound. Stupid M tax on some of the parts for this thing.

That’s going to a be no for me at that price. Not a lot of parts are made for the f97 platform as for the f80/g80 so prices are insane.
