Eibach vs HR lowering springs
Can some of you share some results of your lowering springs. Looks like the HR maintain a rake while the eibach drop both ends the same amount.

I initially had the HR springs and liked them in the beginning but didn't enjoy the ride quality after a while. I ended up just upgrading the entire shebang to the KW V3 and couldn't be happier but I know most won't drop 3 stacks.

KW Coilover Kit V3 2019+ BMW X3 (G01) XDrive w/ EDC - 352200CT
SKU: KWS352200CT https://www.kwsuspensions.com/produc...-352200ct.html (if you need a link) Nope, I ended up getting the ones with it rather than having to deal with code out. From what I have heard from others (hearsay to me at this point) there comes a point where EDC makes no difference anyway. Last edited by Stone_M6; 09-23-2022 at 11:03 PM.. |

Wasn't even aware that Eibach made springs for the X3, at least on the G01/G02 models. I have H&R on mine and I'm not mad at it. Went from stock 19s with RFTs to 21s w/Michelin PS4S and dropped it, the ride remained roughly the same.

May I ask what x3 you have? I have a MY 21' m40i with 19" RFT and am looking to make the exact same switch to 21" Michelin PS4S. Was the switch worth it? Just aesthetic or was there any other benefit?

Do you know if the M sports suspension differs in height from the standard suspension?
In most models, the configurator says that it lowers by about 10mm, but there is no such description with X. I plan to buy Eibach springs for my X4 and I do not know how much it will lower the M suspension. |

I went with the H&R Springs and I am very satisfied! I've had the springs on for a week now and they are settling quit well. My personal opinion is that they compliment the M Adaptive Suspension quit well and the M40i handles like a track car! 1.4 in the front and .80 for the rear.

The vehicle is so much more aggressive looking with the right wheels, the stock 19s are extremely bland. It's almost always aesthetics to upgrade wheels, unless you saving some weight is important to you (racing applications). But like I said, moving from the stock 19s with RFT to aftermarket 21s with PS4S AND lowering it resulted in nearly the same ride. |

Lowered on H&R X3M springs…ride quality hasn't been affected and the stance is perfect now 👌

Just out of curiosity... I see only H&R and Eibach mentioned apart from the single mention of KV coilovers.
Did anyone consider Dahler or Dinan springs/lowering kits? I'm picking up an X3 xdrive30i in the coming days and I'd like a lower the stance, like the raked look/stance that the H&R seems to bring. Also, my X3 is coming with the 21" BMW Individual V-spoke Bi-color Orbit Grey Wheels, Style 726i so I'm wondering if spacers will be required. Just really curious to know how some of you came to your decision. I'm not looking to make the car handle different. I took a 45 minute test drive and liked the way it handles in both "normal" and sport mode and don't want to change either. Thanks for any input and looking forward to the new BMW! |

I’m resurrecting (✝️) this thread as I may have found an Indy shop that I’d trust to do the spring install
Any further thoughts re Eibach vs HR vs ??? Simply a matter of rake or no rake? I’m chasing aesthetics here; I don’t flog the car hard enough to justify KW’s Thanks in advance https://www.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...php?p=30457977 |

Is it just me but does the stance from the H&R X3M springs in WHITEUNDERARM look quite neutral or flat in terms of rake as opposed to the H&R standard springs of rdougherty85 as his springs seem to keep the factory rake? I can’t recall what the factory rake is, is it 6 degrees front to rear?
Both are very nice stances BTW.

Mine is lowered on H&R springs. The front is dropped perfectly for my liking but the rear could have been a little lower but I won’t complain too much since the coil overs are up there in price. Spacers all the way around should make the stance look the way I’d want them to.
As for the ride quality, it is very easy to deal with as a daily. On rough roads it does get a tad harsh but I believe once I swap out the Bridgestone RFT to some Michelins, that should cushion the ride a little bit more. I |

Not a great photo, but this is 11 days after the HR spring install
Bear in mind that I drive ridiculously minimal mileage Burr001 says it will continue to settle over the next month or so |

Can anyone tell me the correct part number for the Eibach Pro-kit springs? I have a 2021 x3m40.
I believe it is E10-20-040-02-22 However when I go to purchase the springs, the online fitment guide say they are not compatible... Just want to make sure. |

What is the benefit of kw v3/s vs just springs? I’ve been trying to read up lately as I’d love the lowered look though it’s not very practical for winter. I’m also not really wanting to get a harsher ride and greatly appreciate the edc of the stock x3.
From a wear n tear aspect are both options similar or are the kw’s better cause of the coil overs? I’ve learned with the kw’s you can dial in a ton of settings that 100% won’t apply as my car will never be on a track and I likely couldn’t tell the difference between most of them. That said, if I’m gonna do an upgrade I’m gonna do it right as I’m intending to keep this car at least another 5 years. |
