Performance Delivery was awesome!

Just picked up ’24 X3 M40i from the factory in SC (we are from NY). It was an awesome experience from start to finish.
They have a great team of people there and they really do make customers feel special. You get to drive (their car) the model you bought in different events and really test out
the capabilities of the car. The instructor also took us around in a hot lap in M3 which really blew my mind. Now I understand why it’s called the Ultimate Driving Machine lol.
Too bad there is currently no factory tour due to expansion but we did get to see a video of several processes of the factory in the museum, which was still cool.
Going there really gives me a whole new level of appreciation for BMWs. This is how everyone should take BMW deliveries.
Even though they no longer cover your night hotel and dinner, it is still so worth it.

I was there earlier today and touched his car...

OP, are you staying in the Greenville/Greer area tonight?

Just got the call yesterday that our x30i PCD is 5/01 and I can't wait! Don't know our route yet but we are driving back to Seattle. So much to see along the way!

Couple of logistics questions for you if you don't mind my asking.

Did you fly in to GSP?
Where did you stay the night before delivery?
Do they have hotel shuttles or is Uber available in the area?
Same question for getting to the PC.

Thanks and nice car!

Typically GSP but if needed CLT is a an hour twenty minutes away. I’ve never done PCD but when I did the M School we stayed at the nearby Marriott and BMW ran shuttles to and from the hotel. And yes, Uber and Lyft are available.

Flying Delta so nothing nonstop to GSP from SEA. I'm thinking ATL and rent a car for the drive up. Cheaper and probably get there the same time as doing a layover and second flight.

Definitely doable but keep in mind ATL is on the southeast side of Atlanta so plan on a three (possibly longer depending on traffic) hour drive to Greer. I85 can be a mess depending on time of day.

Asheville is another viable option. I do that every once and a while when I can’t get a flight out of GSP.

There’s lots of good hotels in downtown Greenville that are nice and only about 20-25 minutes away depending on traffic.

The Asheville airport is really nice: small, cozy, clean, with short lines.

So is the city and its surrounding area.

It is a bit of a hike from Spartanburg.

Yes we have direct flight from NY to GSP.

We stayed at Fairfield Greenville Spartanburg. They have shuttle to pick you up at GSP after you land.
We picked this hotel because there are restaurants in the same complex for ease of access since we don't have a car. For 1 night of hotel, it's fine.
Next morning we got in a Lyft and was around $16 to the performance center. Keep on checking between Lyft and Uber when it's close to 7am because price changes a lot. We got into Lyft around 7am and got there around 7:20am. We thought it was too early because it starts at 8am and may have to wait outside, but there were people there already and you can wait and have coffee... It's nice to get there earlier and take it all in LOL.

A couple we met also got the X3 30i but they got X3 M40i to drive the track, I guess that will be your car to drive as well.

You will have a great time and don't want it to be over lol

Disappointing to hear that BMW no longer covers your hotel stay and dinner the night before. It was very cool to get picked up from the airport in a private BMW, and also nice to be able to meet many of the other PCD participants the day before since everyone was staying at the Greenville Marriott.
