Hey folks and before anyone says read the manual i did look but either looking at wrong bit or just missing it.

I have seen various pics from cars that show the weather forecast for example instead of connected drive when on home menu screen but cant work out how to do it. Tried holding finger on that square on screen or open it and press settings but no joy, got i drive screen settings up in my vehicle but its just to move the positions about.

Anyone know how to set it like that?



Update after some random button pressing on way home from work i have found it.

Its in “my vehicle” and then “contents of main menu” can have weather or news and a few other things.

I thought I saw something about showing the compass on the screen too, but can't seem find it again. Anyone? Bueller?

Yea thats under same menu, its for the navigation part you can set it to show the map or a compass.

I think I know what you mean but maybe not, do you mean enable the weather widget in the idrive screen when in split screen mode? Or do you mean moving the tile display when in menu mode to show the weather/connected drive tile.

Maybe post a picture of what you're trying to achieve.

what i miss is the screensaver clock that would come up on the F31 when the screen was on "home". couldnt find an option for that?

Yea it was to show the weather in the square under where it says connected drive on the home menu screen instead of just showing a globe image. Managed to find out how to do it with some button bashing and hoping for the best.

I will take a pic tomorrow to show what i mean incase anyone else wants to change it or didn’t know you could change it.

No screensaver option in this car.

FYI... You can also hit the option button on the idrive controller while on the home screen to get to the main menu options
