So, originally quoted 492, then got it down to 440 and went to pay the bill....£427.
Car also had some control ECU update. Not sure what exactly that was. |

I imagine when you collect Rusty any outstanding updates/recalls should be done by the dealer.
I say this as I think we have pre regs where the PDIs were done back in August! |

I have just booked my X4M into parks Bmw in Glasgow and got £399 for the running in service via the Bmw online service booking! Seems it may be the cheapest in Scotland. |

With my mileage at 6-7k I would hit the major 30k service in the 4th year and then all bets are off as servicing is BMW value and 1/2 price! Did some checks with BMW used m cars and it defo appears to be the case
Hence I won’t bother with the SP and try to barter which worked pretty well with the 335d |

£1659 with £399 deposit and RIS included. What's everyone's thoughts?

Hi rusty did you try this website? For me with RIS it's 1620 - you can adjust to exclude RIS Gets you two further services. Minor and major - major for me due nov 2023 due to low mileage. That's the service that is around a grand but in year 3 it will be half that price with BMW value service plus it might be chopped in. Have you got RRP prices for each service from here? https://www.bmw.co.uk/en/topics/owne...e-booking.html |

Having another think about this - as car does condition based servicing those targets ie 15k and 30k miles could come right down with my short stop start journeys. I may go for it - on the fence still

Is this just a UK thing? You have to pay for ALL of your services?? Seems really strange and like you guys get ripped off...

I got the 3 year pack which includes RIS for £820, I only do 6k a year so likely won't get to major service and at this pricer I have RIS, First Service, Brake fluid, Inspections and MOT in year 3 all covered....

engine oil services, cabin microfilter, vehicle checks, air filter, spark plugs, brake fluid etc is all included for free. For $700 (for x4mc, 3 years) then everything is covered including brake pads and calipers and all that jazz.

I've been told it's a standard pack actually, everyone should be offering it, call any of you local dealers and they should be able to put this together for you... I thought it was good value as my local dealers were al charging £520+ for just the RIS
If I added the 4th year/30k major service it would have increased to £1650! no thanks |

Big thanks to dalton.
Signed up to the hidden 3 year deal that dealers can offer. Basically it doesn't include the forth year which is bmw value service anyway. It's a dealer franchise thing. The service plan entitles you to the following: · Running in service · 1st Oil service (need to double check it has filter) · 1st MOT free of charge · 1st Brake fluid service, (required 3rd year) and · 3 seasonal health checks.(not sure about these) Think I paid a little more at 840 but still looks good to me over RRP 400 down and the rest over 36 months 0% |

Have been seriously looking at the X3M for my third bmw but these service cost are quite high even compared to the 335d xdrive I owned. I have a bmw independent near me who could service the car (ex head mechanic at williams)..normally he will do an oil change with genuine parts and etc for 100 quid all in.
Your thoughts on wether it's worth doing this on a m car and how do the dealerships view this if the car is on pcp and definitely going to be handed back at either month 36 or 48 depending on residuals ? |
